Chapter 9

Kathy's POV:

~6 YEARS IN~

I woke up at home i heard zoezoe running through the halls i called her. She came stumbling in. I heard Justin running after her.
"What are you doing?" I asked Justin laughing at him.
"I'm trying to get my dog to love me." He pouted.
"It's clearly my dog."
"Just because she loves you more? Wow seems fair I guess my friends are yours then too."
"Your friends hated me at first you remember that?"
"Yeah, oh and we are having dinner with Katelynne and Kellin tonight."
"It's our anniversary do we have to?"
"No, but I thought you wanted to you seemed pumped when Katelynne mentioned it."
"I forgot that today was our 6 year mark when I was happy."
"I'll call and cancel then."
"No because Katelynne is finally warming up to me. I'm not canceling now."
"Well you make to final call I'm okay as long as I am with you."
"Okay well then let's go to dinner and we will have our time after."
~3 hours later ~

"I'm ready!" I yelled
"I am still in the shower!" Justin yelled back.
"Okay do we have time for me to curl my hair?"
"I'll be ready in 30 minutes can you do it in that amount of time?"
"Yes. I'll start now."
"I'm out now!"
"I am half way done."
"Okay I'll get dressed!"
"Do you know where she said to meet her?"
"No! I'll text her!"
Kathy: hi!
Katelynne: hey
Kathy: what restaurant are we meeting you guys at?
Katelynne: Solstice.
Kathy: what time?
Katelynne: 5:30
"We are going to Solstice at 5:30!"
"You get no Christmas then."
"Why?"
"I'm going to broke after dinner."
"Um. New albums and touring?"
"What?"
"You'll gain more income." I laughed.
"It's time to go hurry up." We walked to the car I was wearing a Vera Bradley dress with Gucci heels. I felt underdressed still for Solstice. It was the nicest restaurant that exists. We got in Justin's Hellcat. I had to move the seat up so I wasn't laying down.
"Music preference?"
"Sleeping With Sirens."
"Because I don't hear that enough."
"Well I need to have something to make fun of Kellin about at dinner."
"Are you saying our music is a joke?"
"Absolutely!"
"Wow rude."
"I love your music. If anyone ever hacked my computer they'd think that I'm like obsessed with you."
"You aren't? Wow I see that's all that I liked about you."
"Oh my god Justin!"
"I'm sorry that was mean."
"Not as mean as it will be when I still you're money and book it with the Hellcat."
"That's cold. How did you even come up with that in seconds?"
"I have been planning this for 7 years."
"I didn't even know you seven years ago."
"Exactly."
"We are here get out of my car."
"You have to also."
"How much does valet cost?"
"20."
"Ouch." He pulled out a twenty and handed the keys to the man. We walked in and saw Kellin in a tux and Katelynne in a ballgown. I was wearing a shortish dressed with Justin just in a suit.
"You guys look amazing." I said looking at Kellin.
"Thank you. Oh and congrats on 6 years."
"Thanks."
"Shall we sit?" Katelynne insisted. We all followed her to a table. Waiter approached and asked what we were drinking.
Justin said, "a whiskey on the rocks."
Katelynne order, "Vodka."
I asked for, "a glass of Pinot Grigio."
Kellin order, "a glass of water please."
"Justin should one of us not drink." I suggested.
"I'll stop after this glass you can drink." He answered.
"Well actual just let me stop after this glass."
"Okay if you want."
"I'm not gonna force you to not be able to drink."
"Justin I'm going to stop after this glass."
"Lovers quarrel!" Katelynne laughed.
"Of course, healthy relationships all have some arguments." Kellin added.
"That's not true?" Katelynne complained.
"Yes. It is."
"Guys calm down sign start fighting." Justin said slightly too loud.
~AFTER DINNER~
Justin was sorta drunk. I pulled out the ticket when I got outside and the valet pulled up the car. Justin fell into the seat. I pulled the handle and leaves in back so that he could rest. I was so tired on the way home and I didn't have Justin to talk to me to keep me up on the drive home. I had to drag Justin into the house. Zoē tried to run outside. I caught her luckily.
"Bad girl!" I scolded.
"Huh?" Justin said waking up.
"Baby you need to rest."
"Okay...." I held his hand and walked him to the bed room and started to help him take his suit off. I handed him a shirt and took one for my self. I took off my dress and slid on his shirt. I flipped on the tv. The news was showing that there was another shooting in my home town. I wanted to call Jillian, but we weren't exactly on speaking terms. I called her anyway. She didn't answer so I texted her.
K: did you see the shooting?
J: yeah. I miss you. When are you coming home?
K: Christmas.
J:we should talk more often.
K:yes
J: I wanted to text for a while I was just sacred you were still mad.
K: if you didn't like Justin why did you tell me you did?
J: I do like him it's just I LIKED him that was the problem. As you fell in love with him so did I. The way he treated you. The way you guys fell in love in days. I was jealous. It was easier to tell you I didn't like him than for me to have to be around you guys.
K: Oh.
J:then you moved in and I knew not tell you was a mistake. It was too late though.
K: I'm tired text me later. Okay?
J: Yeah. That is fine.
