Recap:
I knocked on the door and Adam's voice floated out immediately. "Come in." He said, his voice full of authority. I opened the door and quickly walked in. Pandora was already there, her back towards me, gazing out of Adam's window. "What is it?" I asked. Adam seemed to be mentally preparing himself, and that raised my curiosity and cautiousness even higher. "Have a seat, Immy. There's something I need to tell you."

Chapter 16 - Return
I gazed suspiciously around the room, looking from one person to another. "What's going on guys?" I asked slowly. Adam sighed, running a hand through his dark hair. "Alright, here's the thing Imogen. It's about your old pack." Instanly my face hardened into a blank mask. "What about them?" I kept my voice calm and collected.
The air in the room was so tense it was practically tangible. "They were attacked by an unusually large pack of rogues. Almost half their pack was wiped out, mostly warriors. They have contacted us, asking us for help. We are leaving next week to help train their remaining warriors. As you are our Lead Warrior, it is important for you to be there. I'm sorry, Imogen. No matter what they did to you in the past, I cannot allow for an entire pack to be slaughtered when I am given a chance to help. The warriors will be staying there for four months. Their Alpha and I have both decided to put our differences aside and unite to fight off the rogues."
It was silent for a few moments. I was the Lead Warrior. I had earned that right by challenging the former leader, and I had won in a fair fight. 'Four months?!' Iris exclaimed but I quickly shushed her up.
Two years ago, I had come out to the pack about my past. They were furious to say the least, and had immediately wanted to order an attack on the Red Dawn pack, but I had instantly refused, insisting that I had moved on and that they weren't worth it. It made sense now to see Xavier and Drake so tense. They hated the Red Dawn pack with a passion that matched my own.
Pandora whirled around from the window in a flurry of her elegant, silk dress. Her face was contorted into one of anger. "You cannot force her to go back there. She has the right to refuse. Imogen left that pack and I believe she did not intend to return to it!" I stayed still, head bowed to hide the emotions flitting across my face.
"You right, Pandora. I had NO intention of ever returning to that shithole. But Adam is right. There are innocent people in that pack and I will not let them die for the mistakes of their Alpha. I will go. Besides, I think it were long overdue to give them a taste of hell." I let a slow smile spread across my face.
Everybody seemed to relax. I knew they were expecting me to put up a much bigger fight about going. "Are you sure, Imogen?" Pandora asked worriedly. I nodded. "When exactly do we leave?" I nodded towards Adam. "In four days." He murmered. I nodded stiffly and then walked towards the door. "One other thing... You didn't tell them who the Lead Warrior is, right?" Adam cracked a small smile. "Of course not."
***
I spent the next four days training harder then I had ever trained before. My wolf didn't know what to think about seeing her mate again. She was just as mad as I was, but she couldn't deny her instincts either.
Pandora would not be accompanying us, but she promised that she would watch over me. Around half of our warriors were coming along. Adam would be staying behind to mind the pack, and Xavier would be in charge of those that were leaving.
