Welcome to Hogwarts

~ Chapter Four ~

I slowly open my eyes, the sun shining through the window. I sit up, stretching when my eyes widen and I quickly turn my head looking to where the light's coming from. A window?! But we're in a dungen. I shake the thought out of my head. This is Hogwarts after all.

I glance to Rowena's bed and see that she's not there. She must be already up. I can hear water running so I guess she's in the bathroom.

I noticed my new uniform, neatly folded on a chair next to my bed. I got up and made my way to the chair. Taking a closer look at the uniform, I see that it consist of a plain white buttoned shirt, a green and silver house tie, a thick grey knitted v-neck jumper, a darker grey pleated skirt, plain black shoes, and a open grey buttoned robe with the school crest on the chest. I sigh escapes my lips as I take another glance at the uniform. I never did like uniforms, they never show off a person's character. I notice that it doesn't include any socks. Digging through my closet, I'm able to find dark green knee lenght socks. The shade almost the same as that of slytherin. I shrug, it isn't anything special but it's better then nothing.

The door to the bathroom opened and Rowena came out, dressed and ready for school. She gave me a smile once she spotted me.

''Morning!''

''Good morning.'' I reply with a smile. I go to pick up my new school uniform and turn around, going to the bathroom to take a shower and do my morning routine.

''You sleep well?'' Rowena asked, I nodded giving her a half smile.

''Yeah, I guess.'' as I say this, I enter the bathroom and lock the door behind me.

I start my morning routine. Today's the firt day of school and I can hardly wait! Wow, I wonder how long that attitude will last.

I promised my parents that I'm going to be a great wizard. Actually, I promised it more to myself than to them. I take a quick shower, brush my teeth and then get dressed. I leave my hair down like I normally do.

I come out of the bathroom to se Rowena playing with Moonshadow. I to chuckle watching then. Why? Because it looks like Moonshadow's trying to get away from her but is failing at it. Rowena looks up once she hears me laughing and at that moment Moonshadow uses her chance to escape, running to me. I open my arms just in time to catch her as she jumps. I start to laugh even harder.

''Haha, very funny, Y/N.'' Rowena say sarcastcly but smiling none the lass.

''Your cat doesn't like me very much, does she?'' she asks with a fake pout. It makes me laught even hareder, if possible. I look down at Moonshadow, in my arms. If I didn't knew better, I'd say that she was laughing. I take a glance at the clock, on the wall, and see that class' about to start.

''We'll be late for our first day of school if we don't hurry.'' I say, putting Moonshadow down and looking back at Rowena.

''You're right!'' she shouts, grabbing my hand and pulling me with her out of our room, running.

We were able to make it to class before the teacher but everyone has already taken their seats. I sat with Rowena at the back, it was either the seats at the back or the seats at the front, and I and Rowena decided to sit at back. Not long after we sat down, a tabby cat entered the classroom. I stopped talking with Rowena and followed the cat with my eyes.

"Hey, Rowena, isn't that professor Mcgonagall?" I ask whispering. She looks at the cat then back at me and nods, leaning into my side.

''Yeah, it's her and just call me Row, 'k?'' she tells me whispering. I nod, a little confused. I just now noticed that she has an accent. I shake my head of that thought for now. I must pay attention to the lesson. My eyes widen when I see that prof. Mcgonagall already gave us a assignment.
