After my 2 minute puking session, I planned to go to the school girl's restroom and cleaned up. I tucked my arms into my sweatshirt pockets since it was as cold as it could get in Silverthorne, spitting on the way in, betting that I would definitely get a date to prom soon that was coming up in 2 months. On my way in, I saw many people staring at me, I guess my reeking breath was nastier than I thought it was.
Passing through the long hallways was a battle in itself. We saw seniors viciously making out, fights between football players and other people trying to wiggle their way through with posters, laptops, paint buckets, you name it.
As I finally sidestepped my way around a fight, I quickly ran into the girls restroom and washed out my mouth as well as I could. I gurgled, swished and spat all the leftover yogurt from my mouth.
As I was washing the most of the taste out of mouth, the group of popular girl walked into the bathroom, high pitched voices shrieking and giggling as loud as their stupid little voices would go. They "leader" of the group, Jennifer, had many pounds of makeup on her face, along with the company of diamonds in her ears, and bent over, crying into the sink because she was laughing so hard.
"I dunno Michelle, why would... Why would he... Say THAT?!?"
More giggles followed the sentence and I was starting to get annoyed by their existence. Claire, the most chill and gothic person of the group, had not broken a smile on here face, was just standing there, gauges and nose rings hanging out with dyed black hair, watching the group of other 3 girls making a fool of themselves.
Abigail, the most athletic girl in school, who can beat all the boys in almost any sport or athletic event. She is dating the baseball star, Josh, the starting pitcher, who's jacket she was coincidentally wearing. She was laughing so hard, but I'm guessing her abs didn't hurt because of how often she works out.
Michelle, the tiniest girl in school, along with the the most obnoxious laugh, fell on the floor, head against the pink tile wall. Her tears were streaking her mascara, making her look like a melting panda. I laughed to myself imaging the Michelle as a melting panda.
I dug out a piece of gum, even though gum is not allowed during school, I saw a little piece of white sugar in every one of the girl's mouth.I left the girls outside as I heard a muffled "What! Are... You jealous of us? Since we actually have.. FRIENDS!!!!" As the door closed, I heard even MORE laughing (I didn't know that was possible). I blocked them out and inside my mind called them a word I know my dad wouldn't have wanted me to say.
As I walked to my locker, I chewed my gum, chomping down on the spearmint to get the last of the ugly taste of vomit out of my mouth. I put all my backpack in my locker and pulled out my many textbooks and heavy binder.
I managed my way to my first class, on my way passing the bathroom where I could STILL here the girls, screaming with laughter. I called all of them another bad word as the warning bell rang throughout the school. Picking up the pace, knowing that soon the hallway would soon be filled with people charging down the hallway to try to get to their class in 2 minutes.
I noticed a couple whispering words in between making out sessions, with the girl pinned up against the locker. I started to wonder when my dad would start dating a woman. If was going to start, he needed...
WHAM!!
My books and binder skidded across the tile floor and I was knocked onto my stomach, as was the person I ran into. I looked up dazed, and saw the boy I collided with. He had bright blue eyes, his hair was trimmed on the sides in addition to a full head of hair on the top, with a bit of brown stubble under his chin, giving him a masculine feel.
His full lips matched his tanned skin, giving him an odd but kinda cute look. He looked at my face and his lips parted and said, "Oh my gosh! Are you okay? I'm sorry, I didn't see where I was going, do you need help picking up your books? Wait, I got them. Are you okay?" He stumbled through his sentences as he picked up my books, took my hand and helped me up.
I looked at him and said thanks with the nicest smile I could manage despite the start of my day. He smiled back at me and continued walking the way he was going. I turned and looked back at him and smiled to myself.
After that, I walked into English, my first class of the day with a good feeling in my heart, knowing the rest of the day would pass without a bump, and I was right.
