You? AGAIN!

CHAPTER 4

ZOEY’S P.O.V

Finally I managed to kick Christopher out of my thoughts for the next few days. At least I managed not think about him during work. And I never realized how time flew so fast. It was the day of my show and looking at all the arrangements I was really pleased at my employees and myself.

The new show stopper was a really great girl. She was smart and a very generous person, that's what I assumed. Only two more hours were left for the show to begin. Just after a short glance at the backstage I decided I'll go and get ready myself.

When I went backstage, everything was pretty much done. All the models were still busy with their make ups. I went and checked everything. Then in the last right corner I found Haley sitting, doing her own makeup. That wasn't really appropriate because only the professionals are supposed to do makeup and moreover she was my show stopper and I couldn't just take a risk with it.

"Hey Haley." I greeted..

"Oh! Hi Zoey. You here?" She asked

"Um yeah just checking on everything. I must say the dress looks great on you." It was true, the dress fitted her as if it was a second skin.. The colour black really suited her and the sequins all over it made her glow.

"I know right? It's a really beautiful dress. I love it no wonder your dresses has such a high demand in the market." She told me. Well it was true. My brand was getting famous and famous. My office was getting full of awards. People came from all over the country to buy my dresses seeing as I have no branches except only one in New York. Well everyone told me to open more branches but I was doing fine. And besides all the money and stress I got was enough to feed myself for a lifetime. Opening more branches would just increase my workload.

"Thank you so much Haley. Umm if you don't mind can a professional artist do your makeup? I mean you know they know how to do their job so, umm let them do it okay?" As soon as I told her she had a weird expression on her face. She blinked a couple of times, then sighed and spoke again..

"Yeah, of course you don't worry I was just putting up eyeliner nothing else.. Robby was called by Julia so I told him to finish her make up first, she was yelling, you know."

"I know Julia can be a bitch sometimes.. I mean this attitude of hers made me decide on a new ambassador." I told her.  Julia Collins my ex ambassador was a pain in the ass. She always treated all the others as if she's the queen or something. That's when I decided to put her off but then due to the contract I couldn't completely throw her out. Sarah had to handle a great deal when we let her know she's not going to become my show stopper.

"Wait Haley I'll get Robby here now." With that I literally screamed Robby's name.. Everyone stared at me in disbelieve.. Robby came with a nervous expression..

"Y-yyyes Zoey?" He managed to say that..

"Robby you know Haley? My NEW SHOWSTOPPER? She isn't ready yet. Her makeup is not yet done.. You know you are supposed to attend her first? Your assistants can handle others. It's her first show and she needs to look gorgeous." I merely told him.

"Of course darling, leave her to me she's on safe hands.." He said, with a final nod towards him I walked away. As I passed by Julia I heard her say something under her breath.. Asshole!!! She's so out once the contract is over.

I came back to my office. I had a mini closet in my room.. Because at times I couldn't rush home.. I chose to wear a long red sheer paneled leather dress which had a white bow right on the left waistline. It had a slit on the left side. It was amazing and it complimented me.. I decided to make a loose bun out of my hair leaving a few loose strands from the front. I did very light makeup, just a bit of eyeliner, but I applied red lipstick which made me look perfectly sexy with the dress I was wearing.. After an hour and half I decided to go back to the venue.
