You? AGAIN!

CHAPTER 9

Christopher’s POV

 “Claire, please send coffees to my room.” As I ordered for two coffees, one for me and one for Alex who at the moment is sitting right in front of me, I realized that he is the only guy who is a very close friend of Zoey’s.

At least I hope that it is only friendship. Alex wants me to be the showstopper for one of his shows in the men’s fashion week. He is trying to grab me for his sister’s show.

“So Alex, where were we?” I asked

 “Right here man. So what do you say?”

 “I say no.” I stated the matter of fact.

“Why? It’s such a great offer and my sister will kill me if you say no.” He said.

 “I’ll tell her. I won’t let you die. Not before you get married.” As I said Claire brought our coffee. I noticed how she completely froze at Alex’s sight. I am sure she has had a crush now. She gradually came and served us the coffee. She gave a soothing smile to Alex and left the room.

“She is so into you Alex.” I told him. “Whatever.” He said without any trace of interest.

 “What the hell man. She’s hot.”

“Might be, but I have someone else in mind.” He informed.

“What? Spill the beans right away.” I said shockingly.

“Forget it. It’s no use.” He stated

“Don’t tell me she doesn’t reciprocate your feelings.” I asked because Alex is hot, handsome, rich and everything a girl would want and only a fool would say no.

 “She only sees me as a friend. Nothing more and I don’t want to put a full stop in that just because of cupid’s stupid arrow of love.” He looked really sad when he said all this.

 “ Who the hell is this ‘SHE’?” I put the she word in air quote.

“It’s Zoey. Zoey Carter.”

“ Oh Emmm Geee! Zoey? You love her?”

That was Haley of course. She burst into my room dropping like a thousand of shopping bags all over the floor. Thank God she came in at the right time. After the shocking revelation of Alex’s crush, I was in no condition to ask any more questions. I don’t know why but it is not something I had expected. And after all I am not supposed to care. But I do care. I care a lot.

“Haley Spencer, were you eavesdropping?” Alex asked.

“Shut the hell up. You love Zoey.” Haley stated

 “Did you just confirm MY feelings?” Alex said amusingly.

“You are so annoying Alex. Tell me everything from the beginning.”

 “Well there’s nothing to say. It was kinda love at first sight for me. But I never said anything to her about it because she considers me as her best friend.” Alex finished.

 “Does she like anyone else? Why does she not like you? I mean I would definitely fall for you if this man wasn’t a part of my life.” Haley said all in one breath pointing at my direction. I chose to keep silent all this while. There’s nothing I can say and nothing I want to say as a matter of fact.

“It’s like she was in a relationship with some guy six years back and they broke up suddenly. After that she never went into any relationship. She chose to keep herself busy in work.” Alex informed

“Okay don’t worry. We’ll help you out. I have plans for you two. What say Chrissie?”

“Yeah fine. Please excuse me you two. I have a meeting to catch.” I told them and got up
