"He's so tiny!" Ella Cole coos at Liam. It's only been a week of being alone and the girls have decided I need a pick me up. Garrett agreed to babysit while we all head out to shop and, hopefully, eat.

Ella Sam and Ella Cole have bonded over the fact they share a name, and a year of birth, so to tell them apart we add the last names. It may sound odd, but we've gotten used to it.

Sammi gently picks him up from the bassinet. His brown eyes wander the room. He's my baby, and I love him to death. Lately he's been trying to lift his head, but it falls right back down. His frustrated lip curls and squinted eyes form bubbles of happiness in the pit of my stomach.

Too bad Christian isn't here to see them. I miss my husband more than any of these girls can guess. It's different when you get married and have a family. It's far more difficult to know the person you married, gave up your last name for, is away, but happy.

"He looks so happy," Sammi squeals. She turns her attention back to Liam. "Aren't you just a happy baby! Oh yes you are." His lips curl up in a half smile, still not sure what to do with his face. His arms and legs just flap around aimlessly, as he's not aware they're attached to his little body. Garrett nearly pries Liam away from Sammi.

"I'm going to stay here with Liam and Justin. Now shoo." Justin is only about two months older than Liam, meaning they're going to be in the same grades, the same age, hopefully best friends.

"Are you sure you can handle two?" I ask as Ella Sam pulls me away. Garrett shoos me away while cradling a baby in each arm. "His schedule is on the fridge, make sure he's down at--."

The door is slammed in my face. A pout graces my face. Ella Cole and Sammi toss an arm over each of my shoulders.

Sammi knudges me. "C'mon, Juliet texted me she'll meet us at the club. It's almost nine, you're in a killer dress, and your birthday was yesterday!"

"I don't see the point in going out. I'm four months pregnant," I scowl at my friends. I toss my arms in the air. "I appreciate your efforts to give me a fun time, but I'm not really up to having cream soda and watching you guys dance."

A car pulls up and Sarah Black leans against the driver's seat to see out the passenger's window. "Hurry up, Jere can only handle the kids while they're asleep." A smile blossoms on my face.

I look between the women beside me and Sarah. My mouth opens and closes. Without another word I get into the car. Sarah and I share a quick hug before she drives off.

"Happy twenty third!" Juliet yells over the music to me. I thank her and embrace her. I still love her green hair, looks amazing on her. "Come here, I got a round of gummy bears with your name on them." I giggle and follow her through the thick crowd of people.

She hands me a jar of red gummy bears before excusing herself to the bathroom. I sit and eat the treat as I watch my best friends gulp down shots of their drink of choice. I miss getting lose. I miss being able to piss under a table because nobody trusted me to go to the bathroom alone, but were too wasted to take me.

Being twenty three is amazing, I'm in the time of my life where I'm at my prime for sexuality and fertility. The only problem is now I've been fertilized. And now I can't inhale alcohol like it's air.

Sarah's hands grip my shoulders. Her brown eyes are glazed, showing just how drunk she really is. "A-A-Angel! They're asking for the b-birthday gal!" She squeals and pulls me to my feet. "Come come."

She pulls me to the bar. The server eyes me before panicking.

"Put the stuff away! We got another pregnant one." The men in the back groan in annoyance. My friends fawn over the incredibly handsome server. "Sorry, we can't serve pregnant women."

"Yeah. . ." I scratch the back of my neck awkwardly. "Could I get another cream soda?" He nods and pours me a cup. I toss him a few singles for the service. Ella Sam dances her way over to me.

Her arms are tossed over my neck and she forces my body to sway to the tune she's manifesting all on her own. "I'm glad we brought you!" She yells over the music. I smile at her words. "Nobody else wanted to be designated driver! Haha, who's better then the pregnant one, yeah?" She giggles. I pull away from her.

Tears gather in my purple eyes. "You brought me here as a designated driver?" I whimper. My eyes cast to Juliet, who's just joining us. "A designated driver, huh?"

Juliet holds her hands up in surrender. "We thought since you can't drink anyway we'd use it to our advantage."

"Me being miserable is your advantage?" Sammi, the soberest, makes her way over to me.

"Don't be upset! We thought you'd have fun too."

"I thought this was to cheer me up, maybe a birthday celebration. You guys are terrible. Even after me protesting going out just to watch you drink and have fun, you still insist that it's for me." I run a hand through my hair. "Ha, had me fooled."

I push past people to the exit. The girls yell for me to come back, Ella Sam angry she doesn't have a ride home.

Nice to know what they really think of me.
