I hate horror movies. Like more than I probably hate periods. And that is A LOT of hate.
But tonight was Ethan's turn to pick a movie for our movie date, and he knows better than anyone, even better than my best friend, that I simply cannot watch scary movies.
"Babe! Why can't we watch something else!" I whined as I hid my face behind a pillow. "Aw come on Mila! Chucky isn't even close to being scary." He chuckled as he tried to cuddle me.
I pushed him away and continued to hide my face. "You can't cuddle me until you change the movie." I said. He shrugged and crossed his arms.
"Alright then, I can deal with that." I looked at him with complete and utter shock. "Your kidding!" I said. "Nope, I'm 100% serious." She said smirking at me.
"I'm calling your bluff." I said. "Daddy doesn't give in to lies." He said turning his head back to the T.V screen.
About 10 minutes of complete silence have passed, and he hasn't given in yet.
"Ethan?" He turned his head to me and gave me his full attention. "Yeah babe?" He asked. " if I watch the movie with you, will you cuddle me?" I asked.
"Of course Mila." I slowly removed the pillow from my face and laid my head on Ethan's lap. I opened my eyes and looked at the screen.
"Hi I'm chucky wanna play?!" I let out a little squeal and hid my face in his lap. He stroked my hair to calm me down.
"Hey, baby, it's okay. There is no need to be afraid while I'm here. I would never let anyone hurt you." He said.
"Thanks Ethan." I said kissing him on the cheek. "Told you I was daddy." He winked.
I took in a deep breath and looked at the screen.
Minutes passed and now it's reversed. Ethan's head is in my lap, and I'm laughing my ass of at the ugly doll on the screen.
The movie finally ended and we both just sat in the dark.
"Thank oh Ethan." I said. "For what?" He asked. "For helping me conquer me fear with horror movies." I said. He kissed me lips sweetly and picked me up.
"Daddy what are you doing?" I giggled. "Taking you upstairs so you can call me daddy in bed." He smirked.
I ruffled his hair and kissed his cheek. "I love you so much Ethan. I hope you know that."
I said.
"I can show you how much I love you, once we get upstairs."
Let's just stay that it was a LONG NIGHT.
