Chapter Seven: I think I love him

***Christine's POV***

I had to leave Nuada's home when Liz called. Abe and Red were fighting Mr. Wink. I was going to help when I sensed something...there was a girl. She was like Nuada, almost exactly like him...but pure.

I followed the feeling and found myself staring at a pale girl with Nuada's eyes and scars.

"You're Nuada's sister, aren't you?" I asked with a nervous smile.

The girl's eyes widened, she revealed a dagger from under her sleeve. "How do you know my brother...? Are you the one who makes his chest ache?" She asked.

I blushed a bit. "Uhh...is it a good thing...? I-I mean...shit, I'm not making a very good first impression am I?" I felt so stupid.

She giggled and shook my hand. "It is the best of things." She smiled. "I am Princess Nuala. Your red brother is fighting over there...I do not know if Abraham is dead or not...but he is very kind, in a strange sort of way." She spoke so sweetly...oh my god, she's adorable!

I led her out of the Market, taking her outside to safety. "What is your relation to my brother? I felt burning on my lips...did you kiss him? Because he seems to have fallen for you." Nuala asked casually.

Liz had been standing there waiting with Johan. "You kissed someone?" Liz asked with wide eyes.

"Well-...I, u-uh...m-maybe?" I stammered, looking away from all of them, rubbing the back of my neck.

Liz sighed and looked at the ground, her palms on her forehead.

"Your boyfriend is the ELF PRINCE WHO'S TRYING TO KILL US!?!" Johan screamed at me. "You were here!? Screwing the enemy while we're trying to prevent the end of humanity!?!?" His thick German accent and screaming were hard enough to understand, but he crossed a line...

Red came out with Abe as I clenched my fists so tightly that my knuckles turned white, my nails digging into my palms until they bled. "What I miss?" Red asked.

I was about to speak when I turned to see Nuada standing behind us. He looked absolutely enraged. "You dare speak to her that way? She is mine, but our business is none of yours." He growled. He held up a gold, egg-shaped contraption, it opened and he took out a little, green glowing bean. He whispered to it, "Kill the demon..." Then he threw it, my eyes widened and before I knew it, he was gone again.

So that's what Nuada's contraption must've been holding...

It was a Forest God...it was beautiful. I ran and climbed up the nearest building. Red was up on a hotel sign, holding a baby he saved from a car.

I stood on the roof and looked down at my brother. "Red! Give me the baby and shoot that thing in the face!!!" I barked and he nodded up to me, tossing the baby in the air.

I realised that Red was terrible at throwing...I would have to jump. I leapt and caught the child as I descended to the ground, landing in a tuck and roll, ending as I was taking a knee.

I cradled the child and looked down at the giggling baby. "Oh, you think that's funny? I'm gonna get your mom to ground you for the rest of your life." I groaned, standing up, rocking him gently.

The Forest God collapsed into a nearby building, the blood and flesh grew into flowers, I watched it all in awe...then I looked up to the building I jumped from. Nuada was looking down at me with wide eyes.

I looked down at the little one in my arms and took his little hand, pointing up at Nuada. "Look...that's what a Prince looks like...I think I love him." I whispered and smiled at my Prince.

I saw him smile faintly, turning and disappearing into the night. I quickly found the baby's mother and returned him. Liz walked over to me and I hugged her...then I caught a scent...she smelled like a mother, like pheromone wise. I finally understood. I pushed her back a bit and held her shoulders, looking at her with wonder filled eyes.

"Liz...are you-...are you pregnant...?" A smile formed on my face, but she looked horrified. I read her mind...She had been doubting what Abe was saying, but now she had to believe it because my nose is never wrong.

I was thankful that Red wasn't within earshot. "Holy shit, I'm he slash she is gonna call me Auntie Chrisy. It will happen...but for now we gotta look after Nuala." I looked over to the Princess who was standing with Abe.

We needed to leave...
