We finally decide to get up, and he puts on his Red, torn bandana. I sit up stretching as my shoulders pop, and my back cracks. “Phew!!!” I let out a breath. We stand up and walk down stairs. We go to the kitchen to see Donnie already up. “Hi Donnie.” I say, lazily. Plopping onto a stool. “Oh… Hey Addie.” He said, slightly perky. Ugh, love him but not so early. Raph wraps his arms around me, placing his head on top of mine. “I need caffeine.” He groans. I smile, standing and going to the coffee pot. I look through the cabinets, finally finding the correct one. I pull out the coffee powder. And put it into the paper holder. I fill the machine with water, and place the pot underneath.
After thirty minutes, it’s finished and I grab two cups. “How do you take it, hun?” I say, looking over my shoulder. “Black.” It’s as if we were meant to be. “As if you couldn’t be any more perfect.” I mumble, handing him his coffee, kissing his head. The other boys had come down and we all had breakfast, and went to sit in the living room. The boys –mostly Mikey- wanted to play twenty questions. *sigh*
“Favorite Music?”
“Heavy Metal.”
“Artist?”
“Iron Maiden, Lead Zeppelin, Demon hunter… Yeah.”
“Hobbies?”
“Crap man! Uh… I love to draw, I sing, dance, act for drama, Cosplay. Anything creative or dorky. I know crazy, since I’m such a recluse.”
“Favorite movie?”
“Hell Boy!”
“Secret Crush?!”
“Mikey!” Raph yelled.
“I guess that one was obvious.” Leo chuckled.
“Favorite subject in school?” Donnie interjected.
“I loved Geometry and Biology or Forensic Science.”
A few more question later, and the time had flown by. I sank into the couch watching whatever was on. It was now time to get started. 3:40-ish. I hopped up, making my way over to the Dojo. I entered and immediately put on a stone hard face, and walked up to Master Splinter, who led me to the room once more. Today was more of the same. Intense training, no breaks, and no slip ups.
I moved to a dummy bag. Kicking it, punching it, the likes. He kept yelling, almost screaming at me. ‘I wasn’t going full out. I wasn’t putting in the effort, I needed to do better.’ I wanted to do better! I wanted to make him proud, to be worthy of the title kunoichi-no-jutsu. I was going to do it! For some reason his little insults –that were supposed to help me- made me angry. And I just got more and more so until… *CRASH* I had kicked the back so hard that it ripped off its hook, spilling sand onto the floor. I stood shocked, as it should be physically impossible for a person –let alone a girl my size- to do anything more than have it sway.
I quickly began cleaning the mess, when Splinter stopped me. Looking up at him he shook his head. “No, my child. Ease yourself. I believe you are ready to pick up the Tonfa.” A smile spread across my face as I raced outside to grab my weapon of choice. As I walk into the room Splinter approaches. “Daughter. I shall teach you the ways of the Tonfa, and know… You would use your arms as a way to hurt yourself, now they shall protect you.” I smile sadly, bowing. He took out his own pair, readying his stance.
~Two months Later~
Here I am. 4’11, 198 pounds. 16 and 10 months, and I’ve got moves. “Begin!” Master Splinter yells. I lunge, diving to the ground to confuse my opponent. Using my wooden Tonfas I spin it around to lengthen my reach, batting them in the ribcage. With a grunt they growled, turning of the spot and grabbing for me. Leaping into the air, I land slightly wobbly behind them, jabbing them again. The stumble, pivoting and getting ahold of my wrist. Contorting my body, I slid over their shoulder, holding onto their arms and I twist them into a bridge.
They let go, turning to try and grab me again. I latch onto their back, wrapping my legs around their waist and putting my hooks in. I get them in a head lock and pull back. They stumble back, and I tighten my abdomen, cushioning the blow as we land on the ground. Arching my back I begin to choke them. They tap my arm and I release. Standing, I reach a hand out to help them up. “Thank you for battling me for my final evaluation.” I bow. “No problem little sister. Welcome to the team.” Leonardo engulfs me into a hag, and I can feel all the air leave my body. “L-Leo…” I tap his arms. “Leo, air” I wheeze. “Sorry.” He releases, and I take a breath, turning to Master Splinter.
“Kneel my child.” He said coming towards me with his hands behind his back. “From this moment forth, you are under the oath to protect this home, these persons, and fight for honor. You are an official member of our family, a daughter in spirit. You are a kunoichi-no-jutsu.” He pulled his hands out from behand him, and held a bright, neon green bandana with eye slots in it. He had me turn around and tied it firmly onto my head. “Rise, Daughter.” He spoke softly. I rose, facing him. He gave a sweet smile, and looked proud. I almost started crying… because he was proud, of me. For once, someone was proud of me. He wiped away a stray tear, and patted my head. “Well done, Adelyn.” I hugged him, holding on tightly. He hugged me back, and I could sense his growing smile.
I turned to look at the others. Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, and Leonardo all looked to me with pride. I stood tall –well… ish- and they all surrounded me, hugging me, and once they backed away, Raph came and picked me up by the waist, spinning me around in the air, and then lowering me to kiss him. I cupped his face in my hands, tilting my head as I smiled into the kiss, still being held three feet off the ground. “I love you.” I whispered to him, eyes shining. “I love you too, sweetheart.” He says in that rough, grainy, lovable, New Yorker accent of his.
“We should celebrate!!!” I yell excitedly. “Like what, sweet cheeks?” I blush at the nickname. “Ice Cream! Or… I don’t know something!” I say, jumping onto Raph’s back. He holds onto my bare legs. “I think we can make do with a little ice cream.” He chuckles and we head up the stairs. The others enter their rooms, and Raph and I go to change. I’ve grown comfortable with changing in front of Raph, and Raph doesn’t wear clothes anyway, so when he does put them on, well I’ll say one thing, I love it when he wears that trench coat. Unfortunately, were getting Ice Cream, so he has to wear something that doesn’t make him look like a serial killer ‘Darn.’ I pull on my –shocker- Bright green. I take off my bandana and immediately feel naked without it, and I’ve only had it for five minutes.
Raph was wearing a blood red hoodie, Leo with blue, Donnie with purple, and Mikey with orange. I had black ripped skinny jeans, with green legging underneath. It was November, and freezing in the state of New York. I had on my black converse and had let my hair sit in its natural curly, choppy, ridiculous position. The short locks protruding in whatever position they chose to lay. I grab Raph’s hand, as we start to head to down the tunnels and to the manhole that led me down to m real home.
Since I was actually human, I was able to get a job in order to pay for groceries for the lair. The way I had distributed money. I bought the necessities, and had some left over. After saving up enough, I had over $120. Treats were obviously on me. We got to the ice cream parlor, and sat at a booth in the corner of the shop. A waitress came over all chirpy, and high pitched. “Aye, what can I get for ya folks?” She readied her note pad. “I want a double scoop of your Dutch Chocolate in a Waffle Cone, please.” I say with a smile.
Donnie was next. “I would love a Mint Chocolate Chip single dip in a Waffle Cone.” “I want a large Shubert shake!” Mikey Yelled. “May I have an extra THICK large Chocolate Shake?” Leo said, quite politely. And now Raph. “I’ll just have what she’s having.” He nods towards me. I get a tad upset because I can’t see his face under his hood. “Will that be all ma’am?” I look up and nod. “Yes, and thank you so much!” I say kindly, turning back to the boys.
“It has been a very long two months. But it’s paid off. And I wanna thank you guys for accepting me into your family… and Raph.” I look to him, I could see his beautiful eyes under his hood. “Thank you for saving me from myself… that day. Thank you for taking me home, and showing me what real true love is.” I grin, hugging onto his arm. I hear him chuff, and he wraps an arm around me. “No problem.” He says. I give a small airy laugh, and wait for our treat to be delivered.
A few moments later, and the girl came back with a handful of delicious frozen goodness. We all take our things and I pay right then. We all tell jokes, and laugh about adventures the boys had had before I arrived. I tell small stories of when I was at school, and would accidentally trip up the risers in Choir. It was little things like that, that made my life bearable, because the other girls would rush to help me, and we’d all laugh afterwards.
Raph’s POV:
My girl is a badass, butt kickin’, adorable little psycho. I mean, she learn jujitsu in just two month. Sure she needs to perfect it, but we all do a’ course. Anyway, she learned it, and even beat Leo in a fight… probably still can’t beat me, but it’s a start. I drape an arm over ‘er, pullin’ her close, as we ate the ice cream. She has the perfect laugh… I would kill to hear it at all time of the day. And ‘er smile, damn. Only took a month and a half to get ‘er to speak at full volume, and laugh at every joke. I haven’t seen ‘er hug herself, unless she’s cold. She really knows how to adapt, now if only I could get ta hear ‘er raise ‘er voice in anger. Not that I would try to make ‘er angry, just want to see, if she’s capable of being truly terrifyin’.
