Baileigh woke up to the sound of an alarm clock screeching in her ear. She reluctantly rolled over and shut it off. Baileigh looked around her room, letting herself wake up, she then grabbed her glasses and let her eyes focus, then finally got out of bed.
She chose a shirt to wear with a pink heart on it that said "Love you lots," since it was close to Valentine's Day. Baileigh went out to the kitchen and grabbed a piece of cornbread that she had made the night before, she scarfed it down and thought about how badly she wanted to stay home.
She finally finished the cornbread and threw on a huge sweatshirt over herself, it was too cold for just a thin short sleeve shirt. She put in her tiny turtle earrings, she had only gotten her ears pierced about two months ago, so it was still a bit hard for them to go through.
Baileigh was rushing since the bus was going to come soon. She threw on her light blue jacket that she loved, and slung her neon pink backpack over her shoulder.
The bus pulled up in front of her, and she stomped onto the bus and threw herself down onto the seat where her neighbor, Serenity, was sitting. Baileigh took out her phone and played a few games while listening to her favorite band play in the background. The music faded as she dreamed about things that she knew would never happen, and about people who she knew never talked to her.
