"Wooo! Liftoff, guys! We have liftoff!" Luke yelled and Lui shouted into his phone, relaying the message to Marcel and the guys.
"It's happening, you guys!" Lui squealed, a smile splitting his face. "Luke! Please tell me you're recording!"
"Fuck yeah, I am!"
"Yeah!" They high fived, "Happy fucking New Year, man!"
A few minutes passed and the gang came running from the crowd at them screaming and laughing.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Tyler spun Craig around in a hug and they fell into the sand near Lui's feet laughing before Nogla hoisted Lui up in the air.
"We are the master matchmakers! Bow down before thee!" Daithi bellowed while Lui had his arms in the air smiling like an idiot. Brian was clapping Luke on the back and watching their boys on his small screen as they moved together in the crowd. They watched Evan look up at the Phantom and then Jonathan before they waved up at them. Luke made the Phantom wiggle and they saw them laugh before they resumed their dancing and kissing.
Brock came up behind them and put an arm around their shoulders, "Well, boys. Mission, finally accomplished."
"I've never been so happy about two guys kissing before." Marcel laughed before he pulled Simone in and kissed her while she giggled.
"Tyler! You're smothering me!" Craig yelled from beneath the seven foot man that was laughing on top of him. He finally stood and helped Mini to his feet brushing the sand off of him.
"So what now, guys?" Lui asked and they all shrugged.
"How about we go dance and make complete idiots out of ourselves?" Brock pursed his lips.
"Yeah, why not?" Mini said. They waited until Luke landed his Phantom and took it back inside before they all headed back down towards the lights and music, melding with the crowd, and they danced until they couldn't feel their feet anymore.
Jonathan's head was buzzing from head to toe with the taste of Evan, his touch, his smell, everything. His lips were soft and pleading as he opened him up, letting his tongue glide against his, licking up every apology he had for being so blind to this.
Jonathan didn't know what he expected when he ran off into the crowd, he expected to panic but he didn't really feel anything. He didn't even feel the bodies pushing against him, he didn't feel the lack of air, he didn't really feel anything other than the heartbreak he had just subjected himself to. He had known it would happen, but he didn't think it would be in the middle of an argument with Evan. He didn't know Evan would get so upset at him pushing him away.
But now he knew why. He knew why Evan was so touchy, he knew why he always kissed his shoulder, why he would touch his face when he thought he was asleep. He knew now why Evan looked at him the way he did. And Jonathan would never be able to comprehend why he couldn't see it as nothing more than friendship. Maybe because he never thought he could have this. This kiss, these lips, his body pressed against his.
He didn't feel much of anything and he didn't want to, so he had let the music move him as it calmed his mind. But when he saw Evan as the crowd parted and counted down, his heartbeat went through the roof, his fingers started to shake.
