There is Only Room for One

Chapter 6

Ivan smiles from the kitchen as he watches Alfred move around the house. His stomach has gotten big quickly and he already has the waddle, it's so cute. "What are you doing Fredka?" Alfred jumps but then smiles. "I was looking for a warm place to nap. The little ones are making me tired." Ivan gives a confused look and walks over to Alfred. "Little ones?" Alfred smiles and purrs. "I have two lumps in my belly. It's twins." Ivan freezes. "We're having twins?" Alfred's smile gets bigger as he nods. "Oh Fredka that's wonderful." Ivan pulls Alfred into a hug and gives him a kiss. He then bends down and runs his hands over Alfred's belly and gives it a kiss. "Nashi malen'kiye shchenki." Alfred blushes as Ivan stands back up. "I'm so proud of you Fredka." His blush darkens. "T-thanks Venya." Alfred gives him a kiss. "Can I go find a place to nap now?" Ivan nods and lets Alfred go and heads back to the kitchen. 'He's having twins.' Ivan couldn't help but smile. Two pups were growing in his mate's belly and they were all his. He goes to the oven and pulls out a small chocolate cake that Alfred had wanted earlier and goes on a hunt. Even with the weight of pups in his belly and the pregnant waddle Alfred was still quick and good at finding small hidden places to take naps. "Fredka."

Alfred is lying curled up in a giant pile of blankets, clothes, pillows, and towels in a guest room closet. This is one of his favorite nests that he has created in the past few months and very cozy. It has an air vent in it that pumps the perfect temperature of warm air and it just smells like Ivan with all his clothes in it. Alfred is purring as he runs a hand over his bump. "Daddy and I can't wait to meet you two."  He could feel a small flutter and his purr got louder. "You little ones will be so loved." Alfred then pulls one of Ivan's coats over himself and falls asleep.

Ivan continues to walk around the house. 'Where is he? I know Alfred has a lot of nests and hiding places but he is usually easier to find.' Ivan continues to walk around until he hears a soft snoring coming from a guest room. He instantly turns around and heads inside and straight for the closet. Ivan stops and smiles when he opens the door to see Alfred curled around his belly and covered up in his coat. He then closes the closet and lays down next to Alfred and pulls him close. "Venya?" "It's me. I'm sorry I woke you." "It's ok Venya." Alfred rolls over so he is facing Ivan and tucks his head under Ivan's chin. "I can't wait till our pups are here. Our families will be so happy." Ivan suppresses a growl and nods. "They will and they will be very jealous that they don't have pups as perfect as us." Alfred laughs. "Hey what about me. I was Arthur and Francis's pup." Ivan smiles. "Well you're mine now." ALfred blushes. "I like being yours." Ivan smiles and kisses the top of Alfred's hair and pulls the coat over himself. "I love you Fredka. Now go back to sleep." Alfred yawns and gives Ivan a kiss before falling back to sleep. Ivan puts a hand on Alfred's belly and smiles. 'Our perfect pups.' He then puts an arm around Alfred and falls asleep.
