Annie
"Hello?"
The only thing I could see was pure whiteness. And...well that was just about it. Just me in blank space, the world that I had been seeing vanished. And I didn't know why. I rubbed my head, a numbing pain covering my scalp. One minute I'm Isabelle and the next I'm me, with a head full of pain and nothing to answer it. The white space around me hummed softly, probably from the machine hooked to my brain.
"Ada?" I called out, remembering faintly at least that I heard Ada and...Grace. Arguing with each other, about skipping ahead? Whatever that means it clearly didn't work out the way they thought. "I better not be in a coma assholes" I called out into the whiteness.
Nothing.
I sighed, looking around a bit before I began to walk forward. Just walking...maybe it would just take me somewhere who knows. I really...I really didn't know what to do. Hell, I didn't know what I was doing in the first place. I was told by some dead people that I needed to fight against this Juno, don't listen to this Minerva, and don't screw the assassin
Well the last part I couldn't help....
"You just gonna leave me alone?" I called out again, letting my hands fall down helplessly at the silence. Nothing still. Was this how a coma was? You just walking around...mindlessly with nothing to let you know of the outside world? I huffed, pushing back my hair from my face. "Ancestors?..." I tried again. You know after a while of being harassed by ancestors and being plugged into a big old machine at Abstergo you think people would answer when you actually called for them.
But maybe I asked too soon....
The whiteness suddenly lurched, a sudden flash of a woman in dark blue garb, hood drawn but the symbol of the Hunter visible across her leather braces. "What the..." I muttered stepping back as the image vanished only to feel a cold press against my back.
"I should have known"
I jumped at the voice, turning around with my fists raised, prepared to fight whatever was there. But instead I saw...Isabelle. The woman who I shared the same body with not moments ago. "Should...should have known what? Wait how are you even here?!" I said, stepping back. It was her, Isabelle, but her clothes were different...well not much. Still a black coat with a black blouse and corset, but this time with a gold trim around the sleeves with matching golden armbands fastened around her forearms. And she had a hood on like an assassin would, and a black scarf was wrapped around her neck. Pulled downward to leave her face exposed.
"I should have known who they were....who he really was"
She spoke softly, like she was talking to me but I could tell she wasn't. She seemed sad, her mouth tugged down in a frown. She began to walk forward, brushing past me, sending a jolt of cold down my shoulder that made me gasp. Gives a new meaning to cold shoulder. I did nothing...just followed silently
"I played their game of cat and mouse...I did as they asked me, to get information that I needed. And all that time I was...so clouded by my need to know I didn't think of what these actions would do" She spoke on, the white walls around me slowly showing her, killing or beating. Chasing or stealing. All of it seemed so out of character of her. It was showing her change, how she was letting this get to her.
