Chapter two

  "You must be really in love to buy someone such a beautiful thing." A girl said. "Sorry, my name is Riley. And you are?"  

 [ f a r k l e]

I starred at her and her smile was genuine. I felt funny for a second, her smile kinda gave me a little sunshine and I don't even know how that works, it just did. Her vibe was so... I don't know, it was like watching fireworks with sparkly eyes, as if you first experience euphoria.

Fireworks are my favourite, sure it's loud but it doesn't matter, fireworks are really pretty, they give you this feeling you don't want to give up. And it was happiness, but I can't just assume she's happy, she could be unhappy after all.

Her smile faded, she then spoke. "Hello?" I blinked, I smiled back at her. Geez, way to go Farkle. I quickly said something. "It's me" okay, face palm farkle. She laughed, I laughed with her, I shook my head at my head. "Sorry, that was lame. My name is farkle, nice to meet you Riley." 

Riley giggled, and that's when I knew she is going to make fun of my name. "Farkle.. That's very unique, I love it." Oh, so she wasn't going to make fun of my name, I smiled my thanks to her. "You don't think it's weird?" I asked.

"It's weird, but very unique and I love unique names. My moms name is Topanga, and my little brothers name is auggie." She told me, and she made me smile, they are indeed unique names. She continue talking. Her voice is so calming, it's almost like the sky right now, sunshines and beautiful.

We continued to talk and picked some strawberries, her name is Riley Matthews and she's the same age as me. Her favourite fruits are strawberries, she comes here almost everyday. She got quiet when she talked about her coming here almost everyday. The silence isn't awkward but there was some kind of tension there. She then smiled and the tension went away.

My mom then called for me, I apologized to Riley and said I had to go now, she smiled once again. "It's okay, it was nice spending time and getting to know you Farkle." She hugged me and she gave me a little more sunshine. It was almost as if she gave me little rays of sunshine happiness. If that makes sense.

"It was nice spending time with you too, thank you Riley." We said our goodbyes and I went to my mother, we went to the mall and I finally returned the necklace. 

Now I'm at home and I'm finally in my bed, I thought of today and I actually had a great day.
