Scarlet's POV:
I quickly jumped out of the way as a skeleton took a swing at me with its sword. Two more skeletons had showed up, everything was going perfectly fine. Until Aiden ended up lighting the armory on fire. Me being me (the water user) I panicked. I grabbed another random knife and stabbed the nearest skeleton. I then willed the water running in the pipes under the armory to obey me, the tugging in my gut said that it was working. All of a sudden the pipes burst and the fire was put out, the skeletons were reduced to ashes (and then washed away) all that remained were nine smoldering demigods.
I walked over to Aiden, "What the Gods!" I didn't mean to sound angry, but at this point I was already done with fire. "Watch where you aim! You could've burned us all!" He retaliated, "Well excuse me miss I'll Just Mess With The Pipes To Fix The Problem! I was trying to help!" I clenched my fists, "I was trying to put out the fire that you started!" I said pointing a finger at him. His hands caught on fire, water swirled around my legs. I was just getting ready to strike when the armory doors opened, and Percy walked in.
I was overcome with relief, we had only known each other for two days and I was already extremely close to him. I ran to him, he looked at me giving me a hug he looked around. "What in the God's names happened in here?" Sage looked at him. "An attack, skeletons....Dabs? Could that have been your father's doing?" Dabs shook her head, "No, I haven't even been able to get a hold of my father, Nico and Hazel haven't had any luck either..." She said looking around at the burnt floor and walls along with the piles of weapons and puddles of water everywhere. "Do you think something has happened to him?" Percy looked at her, "Thanks why I came looking for you guys, Chiron wants to see you all right now. Immediately."
Aiden's POV:
After getting cleaned up and making myself at home in my cabin I was rushed to the big house by my half brother Leo. I had to admit, he was a pretty cool guy. He was apart of the last big prophecy, The Prophecy of the Seven. He had worked with Scarlet's brother (not boyfriend, oops) Dab's sibling's, PK's half brother and several other people's siblings.
I walked up the white steps to the front door of the big house and opened it, everyone else was already there. I guess that made me a little late to the party. Everyone, including Chiron who had somehow fit his horse half into a wheelchair, was sitting around a ping pong table with drinks, crackers and Cheese Whiz. (What a meeting) there was also a girl I didn't recognize sitting at the table next to Chiron. She had fiery red, curly hair, her green eyes were startling, her face was sprinkled with freckles and she had paint stains all over her clothes.
I took a seat at the table, the only seat that wasn't taken was one right next to Scarlet, and because of our little spat earlier her and I weren't on the best of terms. Why did Chiron say I would get along with her? When clearly that wasn't happening.
When I sat down, she turned away and looked at Chiron, "So since someone finally decided to show up, can we please proceed with the meeting Chiron?" She said with a rather annoyed tone in her voice, I rolled my eyes and chose to ignore her.
Chiron looked at her and sighed. "Yes, as you may know, the Gods have been having trouble on Mount Olympus lately, things have been happening along the United States that the mortals cannot explain, and quite frankly, the Gods can't explain these events either. Freak storms, lost spirits showing up, huge earthquakes," everyone looked at Scarlet, she tensed up and moved lower into her seat, "Now now, Poseidon isn't the only God that can control the earth, for one the earth is a god itself, she was defeated a year ago by your siblings. But Hades can control the earth as well. Speaking of Hades." Chiron turned towards Dabs, "Your father has gone missing my dear." Green fog entered the room out of nowhere, the red headed girl stood up, her eyes glowing a pale green as she turned and looked at all of us. It startled Scarlet so much that she actually reached out and grabbed my hand, although I don't think she realized she had done it.
She spoke in the voice of an older woman, much older than what she was. She looked over all of us and muttered out.
Chaos rules the realm of death,
Poseidon will breath her final breath,
The Rivers of the Underworld will rise,
As Chaos means to break the ties.
The girl fell back into her chair, her eyes no longer glowing green, the fog had disappeared, everyone turned to Scarlet, who was sweating and had complete fear in her eyes. She gulped and looked at Chiron. He shook his head and looked at us all, "Do you accept the Prophecy?"
Part of me wanted to back away and leave the camp and never come back, the other part of me was looking over at Scarlet who was trembling, the prophecy hadn't had that effect on anyone else, but her. She stood up, taking a deep breath, all of us followed, "We accept the prophecy, and the quest to come."
