My focus was so into the TV I didn't notice Des come in the house.
"What's up Jas?"
My heart jumped as I tried to play it off.
"Don't be doing that girl. Almost got shot."
She sat beside me on the couch.
"What you watching?"
I rolled my eyes and turned the TV off.
"You know why I called you over here. Don't play."
Des took a deep breath and looked at me.
"How did that even get started man?"
"I was hoping you could tell me. I don't remember nun."
"I guess we been denying it all this time Jas. Us having long time girlfriends obviously didn't change the way we really feel. Liquor never lie. Why keep denying it?"
I shrugged my shoulders.
"Don't."
She looked at me as if she was searching for an answer off my face.
"Are you using me to take ya mind off Zoe?"
I looked down before looking at a clueless Des.
"Honestly I don't know. I just know what I want right now..... And its not her."
