Chapter 71

Ken was throwed and hit the wall. He has no idea what happened minutes ago. The opponent was Jessa. It was not surprising that Jessa was stronger than him. Ken was a human, not a demon. He panted for air and looked up. Jessa smirked and sprinted towards him.

So, Ken has no other choice but to use his remaining energy.

"Reap...," he muttered, not too low but not too loud. He aimed his palm at Jessa. "Wicked Blaze!" He said loudly and a blast of icy fires hit Jessa and she was knocked out, unconscious. Ken's arm dropped to his side and he fell on the asphalt, he felt that his eyelids were heavy. He wanted to keep it open but after that, he gave up. He closed his eyes and breathed heavily.

Kristine sat there, wide eyed. She saw everything. Apparently, she doesn't know why she is awake. Without hesitation, she ran towards Ken. Kath and Bryan was surprised. Both of them didn't know why Kristine was alive since when they checked her pulse, it was nothing.

She lifted up his body and their faces are on contact. "Ken... answer me...!" She shook Ken. Suddenly after few calls, Ken opened his eyes weakly. "Ken!" Tears threatened on Kristine's eyes.

"Kris... Kristine..." Ken muttered. Eventually, sadness overwhelmed Kristine.

"Y-Yes?" She stammered.

"Please... get o-out of h-here..." Ken started and he weakly brought his hand to Kristine's face weakly.

"W-Why?" Kristine asked as tears fell from her eyes and she held Ken's hand on her face.

"Just...! Just leave this.... p-place! Leave... me and... b-bring Kathleen to... t-to the nearest a-abandoned... building...!" Ken said with few stammers. Suddenly he coughed and hacked blood and coughed again. Kristine's tears fell on her cheeks onto her torn edges of her pants. Ken continued, "no matter what... don't look back...! Leave me here and... a-and don't try to think that I'll come w-with you." Ken said. Suddenly, Kristine kissed Ken. At first, Ken tensed but he relaxed. Kristine seperated from him and her tears fell hardly.

"Re-Remember that I loved you." Kristine said lowly. Ken smiled weakly.

"Me too." He said and he collapsed. Ken was not breathing anymore. Kristine cried.

Kath felt that tears are falling from her eyes.

"Guys....," Kristine started and put Ken's body gently  on the ground and stood up. She clenched her fist and gritted her teeth. "Let's go." She said and turned on her heel, and walk towards Kathleen and picked her up.

"But how about Ken?!" Bryan and Kath asked in unison. Both of them looked at each other then looked back at Kristine.

"Its... Let's just leave."
