Max's POV:
It was an unusual day, everyone was actually calm in the studios. They were waiting for the new arrival, Ross. He was late, just like to the meeting. Barney wasn't even mentioning goats! Finally, Ross rang the doorbell.
I was the first to reach the door, wondering who the new guy was. I suddenly remembered the name, the face, it was Ross The Sloth. We had recorded before, not often though. Surprised, I asked, "Ross?!" and Ross said my name just as questioningly.
I asked how he was, if I was going to be his editor. Ross turned to Adam. He asked, "Is it okay with you?" Barney said, "Goat," and Adam nodded. I looked back to Ross and smiled, this time, noticing his.. cuteness.. and how different he looked now.
He was okay, but I was into girls... right? Not questioning me being straight or gay, or even bi, I blocked the thought and forced a smile. Seeing the pizza delivery truck behind Ross, I invited Ross inside and paid for the pizza in Ross's honor.
I had Ross sit on our new couch. He squeaked when he sat on the rubbery fabric, quite surprised. He asked, "What kind of pizza did you get, Max?" I answered him, "Pepperoni, cheese, anchovy, and they said you liked mushroom."
He thanked me nicely, and I invited to show him around. He gladly said yes, loving the idea. I started trying to talk to him as I showed him Adam's recording room, and he was speaking in a low voice.
He might like Adam, I thought. I showed him Barney's room and did the same, he replied the same as well. We walked around and saw everything else, so all that was left was his office.
