"Kira! Kira! I got my first job!"
I scream into the phone.
Kira and the gang are having lunch.
"Oh my gosh G-J!"
"Yeah and get this, one of the workers there has the same name as me! Oh and they all have the same last name as me!"
"Wait G-J, that's not the James's cafe is it?"
"Yeah it is"
My grin starts to turn into a frown.
I'm starting to get worried.
"That's the cafe-"
We basically now are so close that we can cut off each others sentences.
"No it can't be-!"
"Oh yes it is-G-J we can't get caught!"
"We already went and got arrested, what else can happen"
"Well for one, we could be chucked in Jail, oh and 2 ,you could be sent back to the orphanage!"
"We both know that both will not happen, we took our time in that cell, and we are not going to do that again!"
Now I am getting frustrated.
"If your certain Than you should go ahead with it"
She says tiredly.
As to mean she gives up.
"Thankyou, I got to go and fill out some details and do some more training, see you when you get home"
As I sign the sheets of paper in front of me, I couldn't help thinking of that photo of those two little girls.
Is it weird that I have only half the picture.
I pull out my wallet and look for the photo.
The photo looks like the same old photo that I've looked at for the past 18 or something years.
I stare at it closely, the girl in the picture looks so so happy.
She is staring at the camera, with her big blue eyes and her big smile.
There is no sign that the photo has been cut, until you look closely at the picture.
The little girl is holding another hand, it's as big as hers.
The little girl was me.
She was happy, but that girl exists no more.
Tears start to escape my dull blue eyes, the same blue eyes that used to be full of colour and happiness.
As I was deep in thought, my phone went off.
I answer it hesitantly.
"Hello?" I completely am lost.
"Um hi, it's Jess James from the cafe"
"Oh hi Jess, How are you?"
"Um I'm fine, how are you?"
"Well I'm okay, I was calling because-well- I was wondering if we could hang out?"
She sounded worried.
I think it's time we got to know someone else, apart from the gang.
"Yeah sure, um-where should we meet?"
"Um- what about in an hour or so at the park?since I have to look after my little brother"
"Eh-yeah-sure, I'll see you then"
"Okay bye"
"Bye"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"No way! That is my favourite ice cream to"
I smile back at her.
"I just can't believe that we are so similar, it's almost like we are twins"
I give her a little laugh.
"You wish"
We sit in silence and watch her little brother play with the soccer ball.
I think about that photo again, maybe I should ask her.
"Hey-Jess-can I ask you a question?"
She looks up at me and says
"Sure."
"Well, when I first walked into the cafe-there was a picture that I noticed-it had two girls in the picture-who were those girls"
She looks like she is in pain, maybe I shouldn't have asked her that question.
She sighs before she starts to talk.
"One of those girls is me, the other-the other- is my twin sister Gypsy"
My eyes popped.
"You have a twin sister!?"
"Yeah-but I don't know where she is- she and I were inseparable, until one day she and I were in the garden playing while mum and dad were busy talking to the neighbours, I went to grab my doll from the tree, when I came back she was gone. She left her little dolly behind."
It's like a part of me remembers something like what she just explained.
"Im sorry if I upset you"
"Don't be- why were you asking anyways?"
I go grab my wallet and take out the picture once again.
"This is why I asked"
I show her the picture and watch for her reaction.
She slowly makes her way to her bag and grabs something out of her bag.
My eyes pop open as she pulls out the same wallet I just had in my hands.
She opens it up and grabs out a photo.
She doesn't turn it over but hands it over to me.
"What's this"
I say as I take it from her fingers.
She just looks at me with a blank face.
I turn it over and I nearly have a heartattak when I see the picture.
I grab my picture and put them together, turning it to one picture.
"Thi-this-is the same picture that is in the cafe"
I try to say but just ended up whispering.
"Yes it is"
I turn the two photos over and read what it says on the back.
"Gypsy and Jess James aged 3"
I grab out another photo and show her.
"This is me a few months ago, before I changed"
She looked at the photo for a very long time.
I wonder what she is thinking.
"There is a reason I look like this-"
I tell her the story and she listens, maybe I do have a family.
I need to know more.
