Whew!

So far, so good. Buti na lang alam ng mga customers ngayong araw yung mga gusto nilang bilhin.

Ako lang at yung assistant ni Ara na si Lia ang nandito ngayon sa Bloomerang. Lia's in charge of making the bouquets.

To be honest, nakaka-in love naman talaga ang mga flowers.

Kahit di sila nakakain, masarap silang tingnan sa mata. Hindi naman kailangang tiyan ang laging fini-feed.

Besides, who wouldn't feel special pag binigyan ka ng bulaklak, diba?

Babae din naman ako. Kinikilig.

Ayyyyy.

The day's almost over and I'm checking the inventory with a flower pen in my right hand.

Narinig kong bumukas yung pinto, and when I looked up, a dashing chinito guy was walking towards the counter where I stood behind.

"Good afternoon, Sir!", I greeted.

"Good afternoon!", he greeted back.

Kainis, mas gwapo pala siya sa malapitan.

"So, what kind of flowers can I get you, Sir?", I asked.

"Actually... Hindi ko pa alam eh. I need your help."

"Uhm... Para kanino po ba?", tanong ko.

"Para sa nililigawan ko.", mabilis niyang sagot.

Grabe sa bilis, di tuloy ako nakailag. Dart sa heart.

"She said she wanted something that would describe who she is for me.

Can you give me a flower that says "I admire you, and I am thankful for your existence." ?"

I tried to muster a smile as the guy waited for my answer.

Pasimple kong tiningnan si Lia but the worried look on her face told me that she also had no idea.

I turned my head to my right and saw the box of roses in different colors.

"In a minute.", I told the guy and walked to where the roses were.

May red, pink, orange, white and yellow.

Red kaya?

Kaya lang parang masyadong matinding expression of love na yun eh.

Pink?

Baka pwede 'to kasi light version 'to ng red.

Di ko masyadong trip yung orange as a rose. Saka wala akong maisip na meaning.

Kung white, purity yun diba?

Baka pwede rin kasi ibig sabihin, "Malinis ang intensyon ko sayo."

Oha, ka-vogue!

Yellow?

I love yellow! This one looks bright, happy lang ba.

At least nakapag-eliminate na ako.

The question now is, will it be Pink, White or Yellow?

I mentally did an eenie-meenie, and so I ended up with the yellow rose.

I took one stemmed-rose and turned to the guy.

"A yellow rose would be perfect, Sir!

It symbolizes light. The sun, the moon, the stars... Anything that shines.

That's who she is for you, right? Someone you admire and appreciate.

Na kapag nakita mo siya, kahit sa araw, o gabi, mapapa-thank you ka na lang kay Lord for such a beautiful creation... And that you were able to see it with your very own eyes in this lifetime..."

Nagulat ako ng bigla akong yakapin ni chinito guy, pero mabilis din siyang bumitaw.

Hirap sa 'tin eh.

A look of joy was painted on his face and I couldn't help but smile at that.

"That was great! Kuhang-kuha mo yung gusto kong sabihin!

My cousin's right. You know so well about flowers and people.

I'll take a dozen, please."

Sumenyas ako kay Lia at sinimulan niyang gawin yung bouquet.

Once she's done, she handed it to me and I inserted a blank card inside.

"You know, this just gave me confidence na sasagutin na ako ni Meg soon.", he said as he took some money from his wallet.

Ngumiti lang ako.

"I was wondering though, bakit Bloomerang yung name ng shop? Parang boomerang?", he asked.

I nodded.

"Yep. Parang boomerang.

Kahit anong mangyari, babalik ka sa akin. I mean sa shop."

Ayos tayo, Mika ah.

He smiled as he nodded his head, too. Then he took the bouquet and the receipt.

"Thank you, uhm..."

"Mika.", I completed.

"Mika. I'm Jeron by the way.", the guy also introduced himself before making his way out.

Para akong nabunutan ng tinik nung lumabas siya.

Wheeewww!!!

"Ms. Mika! Ayos lang po kayo? Ang galing niyo rin po pala pagdating sa bulaklak!", Lia applauded.

"Jusko kung alam mo lang."

Hindi ko nga rin alam kung saan ko nahugot yung mga pinagsasabi ko kanina.

"Let's call it a day. Baka di ko na kayanin pag may pumasok pa at maghanap ng kung anong bulaklak."

"Pero alam niyo, Miss... May spark kayo ni Sir."

"Nako, Lia ah. May nililigawan nga yung tao eh."

"Oo nga po. Sayang.", Lia said as she began tidying up her work table.

I only smiled.

Ok lang. Malay natin mag-boomerang.

Makauwi na nga. My work here is done.

Wala mang boyfriend, may bakasyon naman.
