Is it just me, or does anybody else find it ironic that John and Katy showed up at Adele's concert with their new lovers? I mean, Adele is one for break-up-songs-that-force-rivers-out-of-your-eyes. Just imagine them making eye contact when Adele performed 'Someone Like You' ouchhhh *heart shatters*
1) The Ring
On Valentine's Day of 2013, John rented out an entire cinema just to see a film with Katy. She came out with a gorgeous ruby ring on her left ring finger *whimpers* and... She was seen wearing it for multiple occasions following that date. It was a promise ring; a promise for future commitment... but for all we know, they could have secretly signed prenuptial agreements.
2) Rage
There are some fans who are freaking out over people putting their 'Jaty shipping' to a halt and transferring over to shipping 'Korlando'. Why 'Korlando' sucks, and why 'Jaty' has to exist. And what I mean by this is writing heaps and heaps under Instagram captions on this subject.
One of the main things that causes avoidable stress and sadness is the frustration of the inability to control other people. Some fans are upset that Katy and John have went their own ways - and that's okay! I'll have to admit that over the course of these three years, their relationship had really grown on me. As upsetting as it is, I'm not 'mourning' it, nor am I entitled to bash others who chose to move straight ahead and support Katy's new intimate relationship. It's just something that has to be got over: you'll never be able to control other people as much as it affects or upsets you. You know what you may control? The way you react to it. You may chose to lash out your anger on social media, or you may chose to go with the flow; to accept the situation and convert it to a positive one.
Let's put it this way: what if you were Katy's friend? Would you go up to her and tell her that she has to date her former lover in order to fulfil your happiness? What are you going to do? Drag her away from Orlando then proceed to lock her in a room with John, a tuxedo, a wedding gown, a bed, and a priest? Hell no. Well then what makes you think that it is acceptable to do that virtually? How would you felt if you read works by your own supporters of countless off reasons on why you should be with your ex?
3) The Cycle
I haven't realised this until today when (the incredible) katyhudz pointed it out - Katy seems to go through one guy for every era:

4) Fan-fiction
In my opinion, it's a little challenging to write knowing that I'm writing about a relationship that no longer exists. Majority of the fanfictions out there written by katycats are of John and Katy's relationship...
But John and Katy in my books are characters; and not absolutely their real personalities - we never know what goes on in their personal lives; all we have seen are segments documented in the forms of videos and photographs.
5) Math
What's John's new girl's name? Algebra? At first glance, I was convinced that she starred in pornography for a living... She's a singer.
Don't hate me for my biased opinion please.
Oh her name is Snoh Aalegra. Close enough.
6) How to get over Jaty
1. Don't listen to 'Who You Love' for a while. If you do, make sure to have roughly a dozen boxes of tissues surrounding you in a crescent.
2. Say 'Kabloom' instead of 'Korlando'. Ohhh my ears
3. Pretend it's your personal breakup and sit in the dark eating ice cream listening to Adele. Who am I kidding. I do that anyways.
4. Have a closer look at Katy and Orlando's BLOOMing relationship! They make quite the pair; and there's always that smile on her face. Isn't your acceptance worth her happiness?
5. Reflect on everything you've been upset about because of this change. Is it worth being upset?
7) Responsibilities
Katy was with John prior to New Year's Eve... At his show singing 'Natural Woman' to him. It's hard to believe how swiftly she moves on; how comfortable she already looks with Orlando - they look like they've been on a long-term relationship.
Katy is constantly talking about taking up motherhood. And that's absolutely natural for her age with what her body is physically telling her and the pressure she's under. She's experienced a messy failed marriage, and knows how difficult it is to find the commitment (the balance between her personal and professional life) is, and that it's a crucial aspect of a marriage and starting a family. Therefore, she's testing things out: she's dating a formerly married man with a child to test out motherhood.
What really bothers me is that she's taking the easy way out instead of starting from scratch. She's chosen the path that would most likely result in her being hurt in the long-run. She seems blinded to the fact of exactly how many people are under her influence. It hurts so much to see her upset, to see her have a breakdown... And if that's the case, it's not something I'd willingly sign up for. I couldn't bear to see this entire twisted cycle to repeat. All I have towards her is love and positivity - she's an amazing human being. However, that doesn't mean that she makes the best choices at all. As hard as it is, I will not willingly sign up to watch her in pain again. As hard as it is, I might just have to let go, to move on.
8) Devotion
John has never been one for long-term relationships. I mean, tell me you haven't heard of 'Mayer the Player'. They've been dating on-and-off for three years; with Katy having intervals of dating random trashy rappers. This shows that John was very committed to her; he had the mindset of a possibility of a future with Katy. Now, I understand that we're all about Katy's well-being... what about John's? Katy needs to stop fucking around and taking John for granted - that's if they'll grant each other another chance.
9) You never know - They might just crawl their sorry asses back to each other in the future.
