Chapter 4

Liam's POV

While I was hugging Spencer I heard the front door open and it was my mum. We got up from the couch quickly (A/N) i didn't mention this but they were in his living room

"Hey mum, I want you to meet Spencer, Spencer this is my wonderful mother" I said introducing mum and Spencer

"Oh Spencer, it's lovely to meet you! Liam talks about you all the time" my mum said smiling

I gave my mum that 'really? Thanks mum' look, but it is true. I do talk about Spencer a lot to my family. I sometimes thing they get annoyed with it but it's cool. My sisters always talk about their boyfriends.

"So Spencer would you like to stay for dinner?" Mum asked

"Yes, I would love to Mrs. Payne" Spencer said smiling God I love that smile

"Oh, please call me Karen" mum said smiling

Mum never let any of my past girlfriends call her by her first name. Wow mum must really like her. It's okay I really like her too

"Uh, mum we'll be in the backyard. Call us when dinner is ready" I said to my mum

We walked into the backyard and say I'm the porch and talked

I want to tell Spencer that I have feelings for her but she doesn't like me. But I really like her. I'll just talk to mum about it. Speaking of mum she yelled that dinner was ready. She made lasagna and it was really good.

I sat next to Spencer, and mum was next to me.

Then the door opens and it's my dad.

"Oh you must be Spencer, it's lovely to meet you" dad said walking into the kitchen.

"Hi Mr. Payne it's lovely to meet you as well" Spencer said

"Please call me Geoff" dad said

Wow they must really like her, no one calls them by their first names expect for the guys.

After we ate dinner and talked, Spencer had to go home so she left and I was helping mum clean up.

"I knew you would like Spencer" I said to my mum

"I really do. She's beautiful and funny, she's a lovely girl" mum said smiling

"Yeah she really is Liam. She's a keeper" dad said

"I really like her but I don't think she likes me" I said to mum and dad

"Oh Liam, she does like you! We can tell" mum said walking over to me to hug me

"So what should I do?" I asked

"Well, just tell her. You never know what will happen if you don't tell her" dad said

He makes a good point. What if Spencer feels the same way and I don't tell her and she marries a jerk. No that can't happen I have to tell her. Even if she doesn't feel the same way I have to tell her!

"Okay I'll do it" i said to mum and dad

Next day after Spencer went to Liam's house

"Awe Liam has a crush" Louis said

"Shut up Louis" I said

"That's really cute Liam" Niall said

"Make sure you use protection!" Louis said

"Wow thanks Louis" I said

"Harry what do you have to say mate?" I asked

"I'm happy for you, you've liked her since freshman year" he said smiling showing his dimples

"Zayn?" I asked

"I just think it's a great idea, when are you going to do it?" Zayn asked

"Uh, tomorrow probably. Behind the gym where we always go" I said

"Oh I see you Liam. Want to make sure no one can see you" Louis said winking

"Shut up Louis" Niall said laughing

The Louis slaps Niall on the cheek

"Ow what was that for?" Niall asked with a hand on his cheek

"I don't know I just wanted to slap you" Louis said laughing

"We should be happy, that Liam finally found someone after what happened with Lizzie" Harry said

I dated this girl and her names was Lizzie, she was a real bitch to say the least. We dated for a bout a year but I only had eyes for Spencer and Lizzie found out broke up with me then tried to date Niall, but Niall or non of the boys would do that me. We've all be friends forever and we wouldn't want anything to ruin that.

Next day

I wrote Spencer a note saying to meet me behind the gym during lunch, and I put it in her locker, so I could tell her that I have feelings for her and hopefully she feels the same way. It's worth a shot though.

Spencer's POV

I went to my locker and opened it and found a note that read

"Hey, Spencer. Meet me behind the gym during lunch there's something I need to talk to you about"

Why does Liam want to meet me behind the gym? I'll go but I'm taking Sophia with me. Or is that a bad idea? Oh well

Liam's POV

I told the lads to tell Sophia so Spencer can come alone and they can not be there when I tell Spencer because Louis going to say something stupid and I'll have to hit him but the lads never listen especially Louis so you know.

During lunch I waited for Spencer behind the gym and was thinking of how I was going to tell her.

Should I say:

Hey, Spencer I like you

Or

I've been in love with you since freshman year and I hope you feel the same.

Ugh why is this so hard?! She's just a girl, a really beautiful, funny, talented girl.

My thoughts got interrupted by a beautiful British accent saying

"You wanted to see me, Liam?"

"Yeah I did, Spencer there's something I need to tell you" I said looking down
