All she could remember was her prison. The place the queen
kept her for 16 years. Ever since she was 5 years old all she knew
was chains. She was not used to this weird sensation beneath
her. Almost gravely, with all her willpower she forced her eyes
open. Sitting up she noticed she was covered in bruises, from
forcing her body through the small openings between her prison.
She starved herself for weeks to achieve it. Looking at her
surroundings, she could see a blue sky parallel to a sparkling
ocean. Looking back she saw the stretched mountains she
traveled through. Throwing her arm in front of her eyes to block
the burning sun she noticed a small glint coming from a nearby
tide pool. Slowly standing to her feet she felt fabric sweeping
against her ankles. She looked now noticing her tattered dress,
once white but stained with mud and dirt. Her bare feet covered
in dirt as well as her calves. Slowly making her way over she
admired the sand. Taking her time to nice the little things. Theexoskeletons of former crabs, the dried seaweed all together left
there from high tide. The glint catches her eye again as she turns
picking up her slow pace. Coming to the tide pool she sees the
water is clear and full of life. She stumbles across a cleverly
printed rock with swirls covered in seaweed.
Lifting the extraordinary creation to examine the fine details
it twitches. Almost as fast as the rock twitched she drops it. The
now twitching rock cracks at an alarming rate. Slowly lowering
herself to its level she the cracks elongating, almost gracefully,
suddenly almost as fast as the whole scene happened, the
cracked parts of shell fly off, scattering across the sandy beach.
