"Oh my god." I stated once the crisis was averted and we were on our way back to Ethan and my house.
"What's wrong?" Benny asked me hearing the hurt in my voice.
"Rory! He's-he's dead! Oh my god!" I said finally realizing that my best friend was dead.
"He might not be dead, he might have been turned." Sarah assured me and I nodded still worried about him. We road silently the rest of the way there then as soon as we got back to the house Ethan and I began to clean up. Benny of course left before he had to clean and Sarah went upstairs to put Jane to bed. Ethan and I barely got everything cleaned up before our parents walked through the front door. They paid Sarah and our dad went upstairs then our mom walked over to where we were sitting on the couch.
"I gave Sarah a little bit extra because she was here so late." She said and I stood up followed by Ethan. "Your poor dad, he's already gone up. It's just like our honeymoon." Our mom and and Ethan and I just looked at each other then back at our mom. Both of us not wanting particularly to hear that story. "Oh it's a long story...anyways Sarah said you had something important to tell me?" He asked and I pointed to Ethan and he smiled awkwardly.
"I'm going to bed." I said patting Ethan on the shoulder and walking up the stairs. Once I got into my room I closed the door and pulled my covers back, I laid down not even attempting to play and more of heavy rain because I would just fall asleep. A few minutes later I heard Ethan and mom walk up the stairs and over to his door, our rooms are right next to each other so I could hear them talking.
"We're you and Benny playing light sabers again?" Mom asked him as he chuckled awkwardly.
"Yes...yes we were." Ethan lied.
"Ethan. The next time Sarah comes here to sit I'm going to tell her not to put up with any of this funny business do you understand me?" Mom said to Ethan.
"Yep." Ethan stated then laughed awkwardly again. "S'good to me." Then it was silent for a minute before Ethan spoke up again. "I blame video games."
"Yeah, that and the rap music." Mom said to him. Nice job Ethan, blaming video games if she takes away my games because of this you're gonna get it.
"Thanks mom." I heard Ethan state then it was silent again for a minute.
"Go to bed." Mom scolded Ethan. I heard his door shut and mom walk down the hallway into her own room. I laid in my bed looking out my window thinking about the nights events. Vampires are real, that means my vision thing could be real too. I'll have to ask Ethan if he has seen anything strange like I have, I hope he doesn't think I'm crazy. I thought before drifting off to sleep.

I awoke at 5:30 starving, and not just hungry, starving. So I pulled my hair up into a bun and walked down stairs. I was wearing long pajama pants and a tank top. I walked through the house and into the kitchen where I stopped at the fridge. I opened it and squinted at the bright light in the darkness, I saw that we had raw stakes and I was suddenly craving steak more than anything. My teeth ached, that's how much I wanted a steak in that moment. I found myself reaching for the raw steak, I grabbed it, put the package down on the table, grabbed a knife and just as I was about to rip open the plastic with the knife I stopped myself.
"What am I doing?" I ask myself quietly before throwing the steaks back where they came from and the knife as well, shutting the fridge and beginning the walk back to my room. I was about to go up the stairs when I noticed something in the mirror on the wall. I leaned in closer to take a better look only to see that there was something on my neck. I looked closer and I could see two perfectly circular wounds. "No. Oh god." I said quietly to myself, that's why my teeth were aching and I almost ate the raw beef, I got bit at that party!
