As the blood dried on my lips, I gaze out on this unforgiving world. I'll forever be a stranger here, forever an orphan. Take away my family, but you'll never break me.
"Yo, Delilah," Adrian calls me outside my window. Adrian was the closest thing I had left to family. He was like a brother to me. We had been best friends ever since elementary school.
"What?!" I call back irritated. I walked out to and meet him on my driveway.
"Were you plotting again?" Adrian questioned.
"No..." I replied shakily.
That's when my knees buckled and gave was from under me. I couldn't hold it in anymore, and I broke down crying. I was done holding it in for the sake of other people. Adrian was down next to me in an instant.
"Delilah I know it's hard, but it's ok. I'm here for you'" Adrian cooed at my side.
"Thanks for the pep talk, you always know how to make me feel better," I whispered through my tears. I stand up and recall the accident that took everything from me.
