The girl who can't leave

Chapter two

I toss and turn in bed for the entire night. His words just echoing in my head. I believed everything he said about us being ok. Nothing was the same after that. I listen to my alarm going off. Knowing it's time to get up. I dress and make myself a cup of coffee and go. I hop in the car and drive to my office.

"Hey Kim do I have any messages?"

"Yes one from lee Hun and one from Mr.Choi."

I let out an silent sigh. Why won't he leave me alone! I say to myself.

"Thank you Kim. I'm going in my office."

"Ok. Anything else I can do for you?"

"No that will be all at the moment."

I walk into my office and pull out the plans for Seunghyun's remodel. As I'm looking over the plan and making notations I get a text.

"Meet me for lunch?"

Its Seunghyun. I read the text and don't reply. My phone beeps again.

"You can't avoid me."

"I can try" I mutter to myself. Once again the text goes unanswered.

"Please meet me for lunch I want to talk."

This time I reply.

"Talk about what? I told you what I wanted."

"I know but I just want to see you."

I can picture his sad face and I can't refuse him.

"Ok just lunch."

I regret my decision as soon as I send the text.

"The usual place?"

"Fine. I'll be there."

I hate myself for caving into him so easily. He isn't good for me but I can't leave him alone. I miss him. I get pulled away from my thoughts by Kim. She beeps in over the intercom.

"Mr. Lee is on line one."

"Alright. Thanks Kim."

I pick up.

"Mr. Lee what can I do for you?"

"The plans for the renovations to the Choi's home had been approved. Everything is a go. We can start today."

"That's good news I have the finished blueprints here with me and I'll send them over by a carrier. Thank you Mr. Lee."

"No thank you for letting me be apart of this. This will mean big business for my construction firm."

"Well I'll have these over to you as soon as possible. Goodbye for now."

"Goodbye."

I end the call and press the intercom.

"Kim I need you to send these blueprints to mr.lee As soon as possible."

"Right away."

She walks into my office and grabs the blueprints to leave.

"Also Kim I'm going out of the office for lunch."

"Ok. Just a reminder that you have an appointment with Siwon Choi at 2pm."

"I know I will be back for that."

I sign into my laptop and work through my emails.

To: Jessica Jung

Subject: Collab project

From: Siwon Choi

Hello Jessica. I just wanted to say that I'm looking forward to our meeting and instead of meeting at the office. I know this great cafe that we can meet at instead. Also attached is the plans for the renovations to Glacier enterprise. We'll talk more later. The address to the coffee shop is 1234 Jahamun-Gil street. See you there.

I get a few more things done at the office before its time for my lunch meeting with Seunghyun. I will not call it a lunch date. I pack my bag for my meeting with Siwon. I leave my office and walk up to Kim's desk.

"I'm leaving out to meet with a client for lunch and then I'm meeting Siwon at a cafe to talk business. If you need me then you can reach my cell."

"Ok. See you later boss."

As I make my way out of the building. I think of why I just lied to my assistant about having lunch with Seunghyun. But as quickly as I think this it goes away. It doesn't matter what I say. I'm glad that I'm meeting him. I miss his strong present and smoldering eyes. I reach the restaurant and walk in. I see that I'm a little early so I sit at the bar.

Bartender walks up to me.

"What can I get you?"

"Um..I'll have a glass of water with lemon please."

As much as I wanted a glass of wine I had to remember to be on my a game around him. He strides into the restaurant with so much confidence and sex appeal. He sees me sitting at the bar.

"Thank you for coming."

"What did you want to talk about Seunghyun?"

I know I'm being rude but at this moment but I just can't care.

"I see you not in a pleasant mood. So I will just cut to the chase. Lets sit at a table."

We order our food and he waits until the waiter to be out of earshot before he begins.

"I know this is difficult for you. Because of our history together, but I want to see you so please don't shut me out."

I feel my walls crumble as he stares at me with those piercing eyes. Before I can respond our food arrives. Steaming plates are set before us and I start eating. An awkward silence has fallen over us. I look up to see him staring at me and barely touching his food.

"Why aren't you eating?"

"I'm too nervous to eat. I just wish you would end my misery and tell me your answer."

"Ok we can see each other but it has to be discreet. I can't be caught with you in public."

He smiles at me. His boyish smile eats at me. He grabs my hand and stokes my knuckles. I sigh in content. I missed him. The waiter walks back over.

"Will that be all?"

I look at Seunghyun and quirk my eyebrow. I answer for the both of us.

"Yes."

He sits the bill folder on the table and Seunghyun pulls out his wallet. Puts his credit card in. We make small talk about how the renovations are going. I glance down at my watch and realized time has gotten away from me.

"Oh!! I have to go Seunghyun."

"Where are you going?"

"I have an appointment with an another artichect. I have to go."

I rush towards the door leaving Seunghyun behind. I turn around and give him a chase kiss on the lips. I feel him trying to deepen it but I pull away and leave him standing there.
