Chapter nine: Confusion

      It was Friday September 31, 2011 and six o’clock in the morning, the sun is still rising. Everyone was still sleeping including Izzy the “she- devil”. My cell phone vibrated and I quickly turned it down to silent. I grabbed a jacket from my closet, threw it on and tipped toed to the door. I opened the door walked out and quietly shut it behind me. I walked silently down the stairs and out the back door. I ran out side and saw a bridge that would take me to the woods, I ran towards it and went over the bridge. By the time I made it to the other end of the bridge, There was a barbed wired gate that surrounded the woods. There was also a sign on the gate that read, “DANGER, DO NOT TRESPASS” I climbed the barbed wire and as I got to the top it was covered in spikes. I carefully tried to stand on it but I slit the side of my foot and fell eight feet from the gate.

            My shoulder hit the ground and I began to feel pain on the right side of my body. I tore off  the fabric from my shirt and then tied it around my foot to stop the bleeding. I took my jacket off and looked over my right arm. I noticed a large purple colored bruise. I struggled to walk and I decided to sit down and relax.

            Meanwhile, back at the Maple House all of the students were eating breakfast and Nelson asked everyone about Jayden, “Hey, guys have you seen Jayden?” Everyone looked around and Sussanah asked, “ you mean the new girl? I haven’t seen her since last night?” Izzy walked down the stairs and Nelson, Sussanah, Agnus, Wyatt, Logan and Christian all drew their attention at Izzy. “the hell is everyone starring at?” and Nelson accused Izzy of having to do with Jayden’s disappearance. “where’s Jayden…?”

            Izzy, rolled her eyes towards him, “ How would I know, I woke up.” She said, “If you don’t believe me than check up my room, all I can tell you is that I woke up and she wasn’t there.” Nelson, and Sussanah walked up the stairs and into Jayden and Izzy’s room and noticed that she was no where to be found. “ I wonder where she can be.” Sussanah said. They both ran into the dining room and continued to eat. Nelson pointed at Izzy and said, “ you know this is your fault right? You had to act like a jerk and made her feel like she didn’t belong here, how you treated her was uncalled for.” Christian jumped in, “I agree with Nelson, I feel kinda bad.” Agnus also said, “me too.” Izzy asked everyone, “okay then…raise your hand if you think I was being a bitch to the new girl.” Everyone raised their hand and Izzy stood there. Izzy grabbed her bag, “I’m going to school.” She then walked out the door.

            Jayden walked in the woods for an hour and thrity minutes and she limped through the bushes where she saw an opened field. She ran to it where she felt relaxed. The sight was so heavenly she forgot her foot was in pain. The birds were chirping, and the breeze was cool. She spun around like she was in the movie the sound of music, blew on daffadails and then threw herself on the ground where she laid on the grass and imagined herself floating on clouds. She had a big smile on her face, but that ended when she heard the sound of a twig snapping. She faced up and looked around her. “who’s out there?” The noise continued and gotten louder and louder. Jayden stood up. “Hello…?” she said in a shaky tone. A growling sound started to occur and a 300 pound grizzly bear walked slowly towards Jayden’s direction. Her palms were sweating, her stomach was in knots and heart was beating faster than normal. At that moment she was thinking that she was going to die. She walked backwards slowly, hoping the bear would not hurt her. She ran into the bushes and as she turned around the bear clawed her back diagonally. She fell and rolled screaming and crying in pain down the hill. Blood is all over her back. The bear is still chasing her and she rolls against a tree. She sees a hole that big enough to fit her but small for the bear. She jumps in the hole but ends up falling inside.

            As she falls, a light is shinning at the bottom of the hole, and she falls into the light. She is then transported into the mystical land Ezea, falls on the ground losing consioussness. Ezea was dark ,depressing and destroyed. Little Nix creatures and dwarfs were slaving for IOH, working in the field until they saw Jayden and huddle around her and saw her body unconscious. They could not believe their eyes when they saw Jayden.“A… human…a human fell from the sky?!” Oleo walked in wooden crutches and saw Nix’s and dwarfs surrounding her. “Move out of the way…” Oleo spoke out. He took his crutch and poked her on the arm. “What do you think your doing?” one of the Nix asked, He tolds them, “I’m taking her home, she’s going to die here if I don’t. He then used two of his working legs and threw her on his back. He bounced out of the area and into Hazel’s house.
