The nation is torn by constant war, but some have found a way to profit by salvaging in the aftermath of battles. Ripping up and selling dead war machines isn't easy work, but it's a way to survive. Until it isn't. A strange new collector with the ability to strip an entire battlefield of salvage arrives, threatening the lives and livelyhood of Kourtney's crew. When Ash, Kourtney's younger sister, runs away to investigate the new machine, Kourtney has to find a way to keep her crew -- her family -- from falling apart, even if that means going to her estranged husband for help. But as difficult as holding her family together is, the machine represents a greater threat than the crew could ever anticipate.

When more and more people are murdered with one of the stolen weapons, Moira must find the truth and tame uncontrollable magic, or the people she cares for will die, her partner first and foremost. Lydia built a small space (shelter) for disowned and sick animals back at her home, with the help of her father. She was her daddy's little girl. Lydia's dream was to be one of the best Veterinarian, by completing her studies at the Cambridge University. When it was the final day of her board exams, Lydia met with an accident while saving a little puppy that got trapped in the middle of the road, because of some weighty trash. Lydia was hurt gravely on her head and she went into coma for six months, since the damage reached her brain. By surprise, after waking up from coma, the first voice she heard was of a pigeon. The pigeon cooed, while sitting on the hospital's window, "I got some sticks for my nest, great!" Lydia was amazed, shocked and puzzled. After her recovery, she realized that she could hear and understand the animals, also the animals discovered that she could understand them. But sadly, her world started falling apart when she confessed to her close ones that she could actually understand the animals, excluding her father. Mystique Academy was a special school in the middle of Mystique Village which was a place where special people in Mist Country mostly live. It was offering excellent skill training for the professions like elementalist, spellcaster, tamer, alchemist, smith, and extreme. Students here were also taught in academics and engaged in extracurricular activities. Meet Shu, the academy’s war-freak earth type elemental student and Kei, the prankster wind type elemental student who she was considering as her greatest rival. Both of them were “regular visitors” of the directress’ office. And as a punishment for being the most troublesome students, the directress chose her and Kei to act for the lead roles on the play that the second level Elementalist Department would present for the up coming week-long 20th Foundation Anniversary Celebration of the Mystique Academy next week. “An Assassin’s Love” was the title of the play and if anyone among the two of them would dare not to perform, both of them would fail this semester.
