I was sitting in the back of the limo looking over the lines for my new movie.  I had took a week to clear my mind and I would be returning to the set in a week.  Boom! I look up from my script and lower the partition.

"Is something wrong Joe?"  Joe was my long time friend and driver.  I had promised that when I made it big, I was bringing my closest friend with me.  He was content to be my driver and I enjoyed knowing that someone I trusted was handling getting me around.

"Nate man some woman just ran into the limo."  I quickly throw everything off of my lap and secure my shades in place, before I throw open the limo door and hurry to the young woman's aid.  I look around to see if anyone is around, but the street is surprisingly empty.  I check the young woman's pulse.  Glad to hear a pulse, I quickly scoop her up and place her in the back of the limo with me.

"Joe, drive us to the nearest hospital, we have to make sure she is okay."  I take in the woman's appearance.  She appears to have been badly beaten.  She has one black eye.  There are bruises down her left and right arms.  She has on no shoes or socks and come to think of it, where is her jacket.  Something pulled at my heart strings.  I suddenly want to know who this woman is and what has happened to her.  She started to stir in my arms.

"Wh-where am I?"  She struggled to move in my arms and she shuddered as pain flashed in her eyes.

"You're okay sweetheart, can you tell me your name?"  I ask in a soothing tone.

"Allure, who are you and where are you taking me?"  Even though this girl is clearly frightened, I was still leery of telling her just who I was.  She may see me as a quick payday.  So I simply tell her my name is Nate and that I was having her taken to the hospital.

"No, you can't take me to this hospital, he'll find me there."  Despite the obvious pain in her body, she pulls out of my arms and for the first time, I get a good look at her.  She is quite beautiful if you look past the battered look.  She had curves in all the right places and beautiful sandy brown hair that flowed around her face.

"Slow down sweetheart, who are you worried about finding you."  She had this far off look as if she was going to try and jump out of the car.  I quickly grab her before she can attempt it.

"My ex is after me.  He told me if I ran again he would kill me.  He beat me last night pretty badly and I can't go another day with that abuse.  Please if you take me to that hospital, you'll be basically delivering me into his hands."  I held her tight against me.  Her body was shaking all over.  I felt for her.

I lowered the partition once again.  "Joe, change of plans, take me to my room."  I quickly raise the partition before he can question me any further and then I place a phone call to my personal doctor.

"Dr. Howard, sorry to bother you but can you meet me at my room in about fifteen minutes, I have a young lady here that has been pretty badly beaten and needs attention.  I was going to take her to the hospital, but she's afraid that her ex might find her there."  Doctor Howard agreed to meet me and I ended the call.

"Thank you Nate."  She says holding tighter to me and once again, I'm drawn to her.  The contact is wreaking havoc on my body.  I was so glad that we arrived at the hotel.  I had a private elevator that went to my penthouse suite so I carried Allure up to my room with Joe in tow.  Minutes later, the Doctor calls and says that he has arrived.  Joe meets him at the private elevator.

"Can I get you something to drink Allure?"  I ask as she sits hugging her legs to her body on the couch in my suite.

"Do you have a bottle of water?"  I nod and head in the direction of the refrigerator.  I grab her a bottle of water just as Doctor Howard and Joe return.    I hand her the bottle of water and Joe and I head away to the other side of the suite while the doctor examines her.

"Nate, man she's a looker but what's up with you bringing her to your suite?" Joe asks me once we are out of earshot.

"She said her ex is after her and that if we were to take her to the hospital, he would find her and kill her.  He beat her up last night for that very thing.  If there is one thing I hate, its a man who hits women."  Joe nods in agreement.

"So what are we going to do with her?"  Joe asks.

"Well we can let the doctor look over her.  Call my stylist and have her bring this young lady some clothing and shoes and then we can take her with us to California.  That should keep her away from her psycho ex."

"And what if it doesn't?"  He asks me skeptically.

"Then he'll have me to deal with."  And I meant every word of it.  If her ex was crazy enough to follow us to California, well he'd have hell to deal with, because for some reason, I want to protect this woman with all my might and nothing will stop me.
