TEX'S POV~
Last night left me sleepless. All I could think about was the abuse and pain I went through over the years. I slowly sat up from the bed and looked and the room I was in. On the floor to my left was a blanket and pillow, it looks like Jake was here.

I heard a knock at the door and looked up, there stood Jake with a small, sad smile. I knew what he was thinking, he was pitying me and I hated it.

"Please don't look at me like that." I said trying to will away the anger bubbling up inside me. He nodded and held out his hand. I took the offer and stood up with him. I knew he was still worrying about me but I decided to ignore that detail.

"Hey, want some breakfast?" He asked, I just nodded slowly and walked downstairs with him. Jake went straight to the kitchen and started cooking. Every smell coming from that area was like heaven. I always thought I could never get over my mother's cooking but now that I'm here with Jake I can truly feel like eating again.
I sat at the table and waited eagerly for the food.

Jake brought over a plate and sat next to me. My eyes lit up at the sight of food and I dug in, being that I haven't eaten since I left Jake's home the first time. It was so delicious I nearly cried. It's been a while since I had food this good.

"Wow, you can really eat can't you Tex?" He said. I blushed and looked down at my half eaten plate. He just smiled and ate some of his food as well. Then, Jake looked up and smiled and brought his thumb to my face. I sat there frozen, all my muscles failed on me as I sat there. He touched the corner of my mouth with his thumb and quickly swiped away whatever was there.

"There was a piece of egg on your face." He whispered quietly as he gently strokes my cheek. I blush and will myself to look in his dark green eyes. For moment it seemed like we were getting closer to each other, closing the space between us. We were close enough to touch with one movement until the phone on the counter started blaring. Jake closed his eyes and sighed deeply, pulling away from me slowly. I blushed as I thought about what we were about to do then cursed that stupid phone for interrupting it. Jake picked up the phone and said hello.

JAKE'S POV~
I picked the phone and sighed again looking back at Tex, who was blushing adorably. I smiled and said hello into the speaker. I listened carefully until I was deafened by the sound of screeching.

"What's good little bro!" The other side of the line greeted. I already knew exactly who it was.....my sister, Angela.
"Hey sis, what's good." I said looking over to Tex, who sat wide eyed. I just shrugged and went back to listening.

"Everything is great! I'm gonna be moving close to you soon." She said, enthusiasm racked through her voice. I sighed again for the third time this morning and began to speak.
"That's great sis. I'm really excited to see you." I said, sarcasm dripping from my voice. I heard her huff then talk again.

"Well that's not all the good news I have! I'm coming to your house to celebrate!" She screamed right through the speaker. I just knew I looked shocked because of the look Tex gave me and his mouthing of "what's wrong?"

"No no please you can't be serious. You can't come over now. I'm busy." I said quickly. The next thing she said nearly made me cry.

"Ooooh, is it a hot date? If so I'll be there even quicker. I hope he's cute. I can't wait to meet him. I'll see you in five, bye bye!" She said before abruptly hanging up. I looked at the phone in horror then to Tex. He just stared back at me with a confused look. I had to think of a plan quick before I get embarrassed by my sister.

"Hey, is everything all right? You looked so distressed." Tex asked then pointed out. I shook my head and looked him in the eyes.

"No I'm not alright. My sister is coming to visit." I said. He just looked at me like I was joking then spoke.
"What's so bad about your sister coming to visit?" He asked with a small chuckle.

"All she does is embarrass me. I've tried to cope but it gets worse every time she comes. It's gonna be even worse now that you're here. I don't want her to embarrass me in front of you." I explained but mumbled the last part. Tex just grinned and came closer to me and hugged me taking the air from me.

"I would never think of you differently, even if I do get told embarrassing stories." He said. I smiled brightly and scooped him up and hugged him. He squeaks cutely and pushing me off of him, all while blushing.

"Hey I gonna go take a shower, if that's fine with you." He said. I nodded and told him the directions to the bathroom. He smiled at me then went upstairs. I sighed and walked to the bar stool, combing a hand through my brown-almost black locks.

Suddenly there was a hard knocking at the door. I already knew it was my sister but I was still hesitant on opening the door for her. I took one deep breath and opened the door. A girlish scream rose through the air and I was tackled by a hug.

"Little bro!" Angela screamed again nearly making my ears bleed. I pushed her off of me and sheepishly smiled giving her a light hug. She giggled and started towards the kitchen and asked a million questions a minute. One question, though caught my attention quite quickly.

"So where's your date?" She asked with a sly and accusing smile. My face flushed. "He's not here-I mean I don't have one." A said quickly looking to my lap, knowing she'll find me out.

"Ok we'll see about that." She said and started searching through the the kitchen, knocking over pans and clawing through cabinets. I was close to grabbing her and tell her no one was here until I heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

Angela stopped her search and stood up straight. She turned around and darted past me towards the stairwell.
I ran after her but stopped when she stopped at the stairs gawking. I turned my head and looked at what she was staring at.

There stood Tex, with a towel wrapped around his body and his body and hair dripping wet. My nostrils flared a little and my breath caught in my throat. Tex shivered slightly, shaking his wet brown hair against his flushed cheeks.

"I-I didn't know how to turn the hot water on." He stuttered cutely.
I quickly snapped out of my trance and ran in front of him. "Angela, this is Tex. Tex this is my sister Angela." I said. Angela looked at me then up at Tex and grinned hugely.

"I knew you had a boyfriend but I didn't know you lived together!" Angela cheered. I blushed and tried to explain we weren't dating, yet that is.

"Um Ms.Williams w-we aren't d-dating." Tex explained quietly, blushing profusely. I nodded quickly and looked to my sister.

"Oh really? Why not? Jakey, why haven't you asked out this cutie yet?" Angela asked embarrassing me further. I just shrugged and looked to my feet. Angela walked up to Tex and grabbed his cheek.

"Don't worry baby, I'll make sure my brother takes you somewhere nice." She explained, making my face flush up. It was so embarrassing to be next to her at times like this. I just wanted to sink into a hole and die.

TEX'S POV~
I can't believe what I just heard. Jake wants to take me out. I glad he had his sister come by, she's smart when it comes to couples. I shivered again remembering I was only in a towel. I turned to Jake and called out to him.

"I gonna put something on, and I'll be right back." I said as I ran upstairs. I just thought of one thing while slipping on some clothes. I'm starting to really like Jake's sister.
