An Unexpected Love

Getting to know the cutie

TEX'S POV~
"Okay class. Time to pack up." Ms. Mulky, our math teacher, says as kids start rushing to get outside of the classroom. It's been a long day but I have one more class then I'm out of here. I go just outside the door of the classroom to see a way to sneak past the jocks of school. After and between classes they're always waiting for me to get out so they can harass me.

I hide behind someone with a large backpack sneaking past them slightly. At first I thought I was in the clear, that was until I got snatched up by a hand and lifted into the air.

By now everyone was already in class and the hallways were empty, leaving me to deal with my bullies. Preston, the main bully and leader of the jocks, slammed me against the locker knocking the oxygen out my lungs. He then pushed me to the ground and lowered his face to mine.

"What's up fairy? Have you been screwing with anymore guys lately?" He sneered spitting on my face with every word. I wanted to say something back but I was too afraid of the consequences. Then another one of Preston's lackeys whispered in his ear and the most devilish grin appeared on his face. He looked back to me and lifted me back off the floor and hard into the lockers. I whimpered in pain and looked up at him. He then went closer to my face, nearly killing me with his severe halitosis.

Next thing I know I'm being punched one at a time in the stomach by multiple hands. I grunted when every hand comes in contact with my bruised skin. I'm soon dropped on the the floor and spit at from above. All of the jocks are saying rude insults like "fag" and "fairy" sending me near to tears. I saw out the corner of my eye Preston's foot raise as if to kick me. I raised my arms to block the blow but it never came. Instead I felt myself being dragged across the hallway by my book bag. I tried to look to see who was helping me but I couldn't see their face as they were facing forward. I then looked forward to see  Preston and his jock friends slowing down after running after us.

We turned down a hallway and stopped right in front of my next class. When they let go of my bag I stood up and turned around to thank them.
       
      "Hey thanks for saving me back the-" I was interrupted when I gasped at who was standing behind me, who saved me. It was Jake.

JAKE'S POV
I looked at Tex and smiled, I just couldn't help but want to, he was just so adorable when he was shocked or confused.
      "You're welcome Tex." I said smiling brightly. He just nodded and blushed while looking at his shoes. I grabbed his bag up for him and handed it towards him. He blushed again and went or grab it whispering a small thank you. When he grabbed for the bag, our fingers brushed and I swear I felt a tremor travel up my body. He quickly snatched the bag while blushing profusely, looks like he felt it too. 

I open the door to see everyone staring, as Tex and I enter the room. He shuffled over to his original seat still a blush on his face. I took my seat, the one right behind Tex. After the teacher acknowledged that we were here, she began class.
              
      "Alright children, today we're having a project. It's called the Getting-To-Know-You project, you will pick someone in class you don't know and choose  to ask and learn at least 10 things about them. Please write these answers on a page." She explained. I immediately look over to Tex only to find he was already staring at me. He blushed and looked away mumbling small sorries. I turned to him and smiled.

      "No, no, no it's fine. I was about to ask you if you wanted to be partners with me if that's fine with you." I said sincerely hoping for a yes. He looked shocked again and he had the cutest blush on his cheeks. After a minute of thought, he nodded, nearly making me jump out of my chair.

      "Ok who's house do you want to go to, if you're comfortable with that." I asked thinking about his feelings too. For at least half a second his face paled and he looked scared but he shook his head and spoke.
         
      "I-I don't want to go home just yet. Is it fine if we go to yours?" He asked. It looks like something at home bothers him, I'll have to ask him later but for now I'm excited. He said yes! I'm so happy I could die. I nodded rapidly to let him know I really want this. He then smiled the most beautiful smile I've eve seen in my lifetime. I just can't wait to make him mine. It will take time but I'll get him but I'll have to start with getting to know the cutie first.
