The man and the sledge hammer

Chapter one

It was just a normal day for Max and his wife Lisa. It was until Lisa yelled for Max to come kill a spider when it all changed. He ran into the room to see a huge spider crawling on the wall. Max panicked looking around the room. He saw a sledge hammer on the ground. He quickly picked it up and swung it at the wall. It was dead.

Max looked at the hammer,his eyes soft. "Y-you saved me," he said. His wife looked in horror at the hole in the wall. It would probably cost hundreds to fix! Lisa looked over shocked as Max pressed his lips against the hammer. "Max what the heck are you doing?" She yelled. Max glared at Lisa with anger. "I'm leaving you Becky," he said. Lisa's eyes widened. "W-what?! That's not even my name!" Max walked out the room as tears came to Lisa's eyes.

Max slipped his coat on and held the hammer over his shoulder. He opened the door getting ready to leave the house. This was just the beginning for the two's love.
