Ema stood by the gym door at Serin high school. She had just gotten there and was watching the basketball team practice. She stood shyly right outside the gym hoping no one would see her.
The team's coach spotted her and noticed she was watching the team play, so she went over and asked her to come and watch closely since she looked interested in the game.
"Come and sit next to me. What's your name?" Coach Riko asked the girl still unable to say anything.
"E-Ema." The girl quietly told her. Even though it was a bit too quiet Riko could hear it.
"Nice to meet you Ema, my name is Riko and I'am the coach of this team.
This surprised Ema because the girl was a student as well, from what she could tell the girl was wearing the school's uniform.
"That's amazing, your a student here aren't you?" Ema responded in low voice to make sure the team didn't notice her.
"Yeah, I'am!" Riko responded with a smile.
"So, you came here to watch, huh." Riko politely commented.
"Yeah, I kind of fell in love with basketball." Ema said this while watching Kuroko play on the court for practice. Unfortunately for her, Riko noticed she was watching him.
"Ooh, I see. So it's more then just the love for basketball, huh?" Riko had a big goofy grin on her face and even winked at Ema while she said that.
"N-n-nooo! Th-that-s, n-not it at all!" Ema was blushing furiously, like she was tomato. Ema tried hiding her face when her face felt like it was on fire, but she failed at not only trying to hide her blush but her voice and presence as well. The team heard the the commotion to see what it was all about. Before Riko Knew it though, Ema had already stood up and was half way to the doors outside.
"How did she get that far without me noticing her?!" Riko asked in surprise, wondering if she had lack of presence as well as Kuroko.
"Coach, what was that all about?" Kagami came over with the group of guys and asked.
"Her name is Ema, and she apparently loves basketball. I think she plays too, from the phisical look of her body." Riko said with her thinking face.
"How can you tell?" Captain Huga asked her curious as to why she was so interested in in this girl.
"For one, I watched her look at you guys play like she was analyzing your moves carefully and her physically strong body and lack of presence goes above and beyond of what I've seen in any girl."
"Lack of presence? UH! You mean like Kuroko!" Kagami's comment surprise and stunned everyone, including Kuroko. The team started to get really curious about her.
"Kuroko, I think you should go talk to her." Riko said.
"Sorry to ask, but why do you think I should go? I don't really know what to say." Kuroko asked plainly as ever.
"Because it seemed to me like she wanted to talk to you the most."
"What makes you say that coach?" Asked Huga.
"Because she was studying you the most. She looked like she was amazed by watching you play." Riko answered Kuroko with a big grin on her face again.
"EEEEHHHHHH?! KUROKO?!" The whole gang was surprised to hear that he had another pretty admirer. Even Kagami was wondering how Kuroko got more chicks to like him than he did.
"What do you want me to say to her?" Kuroko asked.
"Well, I think you should ask if she plays basketball. After all isn't that what you want to know?" Riko looked at Kuroko to try to get a reaction from him, but his face expression stayed the same. Everyone waited for an answer, but it never came, instead he left the gym and went after Ema.
Ema stood outside of the gym trying to calm down and think about whether she should go back in or not. Her Captain wouldn't be so happy if she showed up to the park without her opponent.
"Excuse me, Miss." Ema jumped out of her shoes when she heard someone behind her out of nowhere. She didn't even know he was there until she actually turned around and saw it was Kuroko.
"K-kuroko T-tetsuya?" Ema got a bit nervous and stuttered his name out loud.
"Are you alright, you look a bit hot right now." Kuroko said without the intent of it soundding like he was flirting.
"What?!" Ema was redder now, if it was possible.
"Well your face is red, so I assumed you had a fever and you were sick." Kuroko said, trying to explain what he actually meant in the first place.
"O-oh...no...I'm OK, thank you."
"Do you play?"
"Play What?"
"Basketball."
"Oh, yeah I love playing basketball, especially with my team." Ema responds him.
"Your team?"
"Yes, I play for a girls basketball team, we come from America." Ema talked to Kuroko in a much calmer voice, like she had gotten easily comfortable talking to him about anything. Ema thought it was the perfect opportunity to get him to go to the park after practice was over.
"Well, I have to be getting back to practice, it was nice meeting you Ema."
"Wait, Kuroko would you like to meet them...my teammates I mean. We are very good players...if you want you can watch us play today after your practice. We will be at the park in the middle of town...it would mean a lot if you came."
"Sure, why not? After all there is always something new I can learn from others."
"OK then, I'll see you there. Bye-bye." Ema gave him a wide beautiful grin and giggle then ran off.
Woof! Woof! Number two seemed to like this girl. Kuroko showed no emotion, but could he have felt something too?
