(Meanwhile)

The girls were home, but board out of their minds. Ema asked if anyone wanted to get something sweet close by. The girls weren't really feeling it so Ema left on her own.
No one noticed her leave, but that didn't surprise any of the girls. They already knew where she was going so they left to do their own thing.

Ema stood for a few minutes looking up at this burger place and wondered if they had any sweets.
She decided she would go in and as she reached for the door, someone else reached at the same time and their hands collided. Ema turned to see who it was and Kuroko was standing next to her. He turned out to be there the whole time and she didn't notice him. He was also surprised to see her.
"Oh, Kuroko, gomena-sai, I️ didn't see you there."
"Gomena-sai, I️ didn't see you there either."
The two of them didn't even notice the other was there.
"Kuroko, do you know if there is anything sweet they sell here?"
"Yeah, I️ like coming here because they have really good milkshakes."
"Really that's great, let's go in then."
Kuroko opened the door for them to walk in Ema thanked him for that and went in.
For some reason they sat at the same table and began to sip their vanilla shakes together.
Ema suddenly had a sad expression on her face that made Kuroko curious.

Ema looked out the window and talked.
"Kuroko, I️ know this might sound strange, but, you love basketball don't you?"

"Yes, I️ do."
"Well, have you ever hated basketball before?"
Ema looked down at her drink upset at the thought.

"I️ did, once." Kuroko answered her and she looked up in surprise.

"You have? Really?" Ema seemed a bit gland she wasn't the the only one who ever felt that way. She was burdened with guilt for having hated basketball before.
"It's just...you see, there was a time when my life was filled with sadness and hatred forcing me to hate even the thing I️ loved doing the most."
Kuroko said nothing because he was so intrigued by her. Kuroko felt that though they were similar, there was an immense difference between them.
Ema looked lost in thought for a minute and just looked outside the window. As the sun was setting her light blue eyes glistened as the sun light hit them.
Kuroko knew she was truly hurt about something and he desperately wanted to know what it was.

Momoi was skipping happily down the street as she thought about Kuroko when she looked through the window of this burger place and saw that Kuroko was there, but to her unfortunate surprise there was a girl sitting in front of him.
"Hhhheeeeeee?!!" Momoi's face turned pale as her worst nightmare was right in front of her. She started to freak out and get angry and as she flung her arms around in rage and hysterical sadness. Kuroko finally saw her and pointed her out.
"Oh, hey that's Momoi-san."

Next thing they knew all three of them were sitting at the same table. Momoi just kept starring down at Ema.
"Momoi-san, this is Ema-san."

"Nice to meet you, Momoi-San." Ema waved a little and smiled. Momoi growled and angrily turned her face.
"Momoi-San that's not nice." Kuroko who was sitting next to Momoi tried to get her to stop acting so mean.
Momoi sighed and listened.
Kuroko explained that Ema and her basketball team was going to be the first girls team in Serin. Momoi understood and realized she misjudged by assuming Ema was on a date with Kuroko. She didn't tell them that though, she kept that to herself.
After chatting for a bit Momoi had walked home since she lived on the opposite direction Kuroko was going, Kuroko and Emma walked in the same direction the girls were staying close by. So the two of them walked together. "Kuroko, do you think you can help me love basketball again?" Emma looked straight down trying to start a conversation with him, it she was curious to know what he would say.

"I don't really know how I can do that for you." Kuroko answered her honestly.

"Oh, I see." Emma began to look sad at the thought.
"But I believe that if you keep playing like you do, there is a good chance you will start to love basketball more then before. Even if it takes some time." Kuroko smiled a bit and Emma blushed at the sight.
"Arigato..." Emma managed to say slightly.
They both went home and as they both laid in bed they thought about basketball. Kuroko remembering what it was like to hate basketball felt bad for Emma because he knew that feeling and didn't ever want anyone to feel that way. Emma thinking about what Kuroko said and she started to blush when she saw his adorable smiling face in her head. The two of them dozed off into a deep sleep.
