My hands shake as I try to make sense of the thoughts running through my mind
So excuse me while I try to use rhymes
To supress and undress the words running too fast for me catch
I know I don't seem like much just a teenage girl who seems innocent
As such a mind like you would think
But you don't know I've been to brink
And couldn't be forgiven
For the sins I've committed
I've been at the edge of humanity
But of course you wouldn't expect that of me
Just another person to judge by the cover and not the book
I know what you're thinking
But I just need you to keep me from sinking
The clock is ticking and I fall a little deeper
The hill between you and I grows a little steeper
But take a look at the goal ahead
Before you decide it's time for bed
Look at how far you have already come
And decide if you're already done
I know you don't want to handle this
Or that nonexistent kiss
But can't you see
This problem is a lot bigger than you or me
So focus on the sky above
Or your true love
And keep marching
As society keeps scorching
Everything we need
And all we'll ever be
Because they force their labels on us
And tell us that we must
Obey them and their rules
Hoping to pass as cool
But I'll stop here now
And leave you with the thought how
A girl like me can do this
And be surrounded by total bliss
