Awakening

We turn to Alex, he wiped snot from his nose and turned towards the bottom of the stairs, *rrroooaaarrr* "damn it, run for it!" Charlie shouts. The ground starts to rumble and the three of us fall, I glance behind us and I could already see it bright yellow eyes locking onto us. I grab Alex's arm and pull him up, Charlie ran behind us and shoved Alex up from behind, we sprint up the stairs as fast as our legs can muster, the ground continues to shake and we constantly stumble to the ground before getting up as quickly as we can. The walls start cracking and it looks like we're running out of options until a bright light blinds us, it's the door, it's the way out! I go on all fours and climb the stairs as if I'm a monkey, I get to the top and put my hand out to grab Alex, I grab his arm and pull him up. I put my hand out once more for Charlie, he grabs me but falls over. The wall to my right cracks and dirt pours through blocking my view, "get away from me you son of a-" *rrreeeaaa* the ground gives way and the wall collapses, in an instant stone and dirt is everywhere and Charlie and the Mellinoph are buried alive.

"Oh my god..." Alex stands there staring at the rubble, "no, no, no!" I rush to the ruined tunnel and grab stones pulling them from the rubble as quick as I can. "I'll go get help" Alex turns but I grab him "we can't just leave him here" I whimper trying to get him to help me "I'll be back soon, I promise" "NO!" I yell at him, why won't he help me! "He's either barely alive or dead! If we don't get help, he'll be dead by the time we reach him anyways!" He yells at me "over there, see that tower?" He points to a large wooden makeshift tower "I'll go get help from there, in the meantime stay put!" He runs off and disappears into the woods.

I sit beside the rubble constantly checking the landscape for Alex, nothing but trees and mountains as the eye can see. It was quiet, too quiet, somethings wrong, I stand up and scan the tree line but nothing reveals itself to me. *smack* I look beside me and spot an arrow in the ground beside me "Don't move" a deep voice shouts to me "ok" I yell back. A group of men walk out of the trees and towards me, "we have archers hidden in the trees so don't try anything" the man insists "it's not smart to reveal a snipers position" I say smirking at his mistake. His men are wearing leather clothing apart from and have steel swords in their sheaths. The man in the middle has a brown bears and is wearing iron armour and on his back is a steel war hammer. He taps the man to his left and whispers something to him, the man pulls a strange looking device that looks like a pair of binoculars and starts scanning the area. "While Michael scans the area we want you to come with us, it'll be safer for you and your exhausted friend" he steps to the side and I can see Alex on his hands and knees, completely exhausted. "Thanks but my my friend Charlie is stuck under here, can you please help me get him out?!?" I plead "we will do our best but we heard that a Mellinoph was living in this area" he scans the landscape before turning back to face me "you'll be safer with us, those creatures can kill you in an instant" he motions to the tower "well we found it alright, and it's right under us, as well as my friend" I glare at the rubble and turn to them, "please help me find him, please" I stare into his eyes and hope that he will at least consider it "Harley, send a dozen men to dig the boy up, then bring him back in one piece" he approaches me and puts out his hand "Names Lambus" I look at his hand and accept his greeting "Bella"
