Transluters - The past against the present

I look from Alex to Charlie wondering whether it would be safer to just stay in our cells, "you guys ready?" Charlie whispers glaring at the two of us "I'm in" I whisper holding Charlie's gaze. We look at Alex "I really hate this plan" he whispers to us "Alex cmon man, we've had worse, I mean remember how we had to slay that Zorga?" Charlie whispers trying his best to encourage Alex "that's true, fine I'm in" he whispers glancing from Charlie to me "let's move, but move quietly" Charlie whispers motioning towards the stairs. As we creep up the stairs the monster known as the Mellinoph beholds itself to us. It's covered in dark green scales and has two extremely large tusks below its jaws which are filled with rows and rows of teeth perfectly capable of devouring a human being in a matter of seconds. Charlie points towards it's dark scaly tail and motions for us to go over it, I creep towards its tail and under closer inspection it's entire body is covered with holes the size of a car wheel.

Charlie points towards the closest stair then at himself, he leans forward and puts his hands against the stair then bends his knees and jumps, he lands on the stair and puts his hand out to help me up. I grab his hand and jump, I glance at the Mellinoph to check it's still asleep, it's laying quietly on a pile of hay, good, it doesn't know of our presence. I then turn to help Alex and go to grab his hand, the Mellinoph makes a sort of snoring-screaming sound and wriggles around, I pull my hand back and miss it's tail by millimetres. It raises its tail to about torso height and keeps it there. Alex looks at the tail then at us, he knows as well as we do that he has to crawl. He slowly gets down on his hands and knees and makes his way under the tail, he stops about halfway and raises his eyes and head slightly. I look at him questioning his expression when it hit me, Alex has hay-fever, and there's hay directly touching his body. "Oh no..." Charlie whispers before putting his hand to Alex's mouth to stop the sneeze. A muffled sound escapes his mouth and I stare at the Mellinoph, nothing, good. I give them a thumbs up and they smile back, Charlie pulls Alex out from under the tail and onto his feet "that was way too close" Alex whispered. We creep further up the stairs in a single file line, Charlie first then me and lastly Alex, Charlie turns to us "all clear, were good from here on out" he whispers "great!" I whisper and turn to Alex to give him the good news, "we're almost out" I whisper to him "awesome, this place stinks" he whispers back to me. We stand up and I give Charlie the thumbs up "we're almost out just a couple more lev-" "a-Choo!!!"
