"You're not from here are you?" Lambus says while hacking away at the bushes in front of us with a stainless steel machete "No, we were captured by the gallioths and sent here as prisoners" I reply while fiddling with my fingers "How long have you been in there?" He questions "Two years" Alex blurts out "two years aye? Well my sources say that, that tower you were in was occupied a couple of days ago by that Mellinoph, is that true?" He stops chopping and starts circling me like a predator circling it's prey "I believe so" I say keeping him within sight "well we were told that nobody was in there, so who are you and why were you really there?" His men unsheathe their swords and stand behind us "I told you, we were captured and kept as prisoners" I could feel the tip of the blade pushing against my spine "the truth, this is your last chance" he stares hard at me "captured and kept" I stare at him, not moving a muscle "good, at least your not ingeroth spies" he turns back and starts hacking away again. I look at Alex confused, the ingeroth? Who are they? "Those bloody gallioths don't know when to quit do they?" He looks at the other man "No sir" he replied, this guy was shorter than me and could barely fit his armour, he had blue eyes and pale skin, he was about sixteen but he could probably put a blade through me faster than I could call for help. "So what's your backstory?" I ask trying to change the subject "well I lived in sidor until I was twenty then joined the rebellion against the ingeroth and now I'm here" he smiles at me then turns back "we're almost out" he says slashing at a berry bush.

"Who are the ingeroth?" I question, Lambus stood still and turns around slowly, "their the empire that keep us rebels in this hellhole of an era" he starts shaking and his face starts to change "Lambus stop" Michael grabs his friend and holds his arms behind him "no, stop now" Lambus forces his body weight onto Michael who immediately falls hard on his back "if they want to know, then I'll let them know" Lambus turns over and put his hand on the ground before raising himself to his feet "long ago me and my friend dalon went hunting and we found a deer, elk, dalon pulled an arrow out of his quiver and aimed at its heart, when it happened" he walks up to me and stares into my eyes, rage covered his face and his hands went into fists "a blinding blue light appeared out of nowhere and when my eyes adjusted, dalon was on the ground, dead" he stepped backwards and stared at the ground "his chest had a large whole and his skin was burnt, I ran away as fast as I could until I reached quillan" he pulls out his machete and raises it above his head. *Ring Ring* we all turn towards the sound, "It came from the village" Lambus says pointing to the north east "Rofus, use your sword to cut through the brush, I'll carry Michael" Rofus nods and pulls out his sword swiftly. "What's happening?" I say suspiciously "it's the bells, they signal them only in an emergency" he puts Michael over his shoulder and face me "an emergency being?" "An attack, either the ingeroth or a creature such as a Mellinoph or a vangrus.

After slashing through bushes and tree line we get into the open, the village is surrounded by wooden spikes and there's a few wooden houses I can see, everything seems ok when screams erupt from inside the walls "who or what is in there?!?" Lambus demands looking around the walls "I don't know sir, but we'd better hurry up" Rofus announces trying to get in on the action. One of the towers topples over onto the walls and causes the wall to collapse, and then I see it, a Mellinoph with spikes sticking out from all over its body. That's when it looked over at us, it had a deep scar along its left eye and blood seeping from it. It conceals its spikes and frustrates itself towards us, I turn to Lambus but he's already started going backwards, i turn back and the Mellinoph starts to gallop like a horse. "It's about to charge, run for the trees!"
