Upon their arrival at the party Jody had been a little reserved thinking about what Mrs Frost had said but now she was the life and soul of the party. Whilst dancing Jody saw a glittering object in the corner of her eye and turned to see what it was. She approached the object to discover it was a fountain pen, bending down she scooped the pen up in her hand and studied it. The pen was smooth and sleek to touch and wildly vibrant in colour. She was overcome with the urge to use it. Looking around she shoved the illuminating pen in to her bag and continued to dance.
Later on at home Jody emptied her bag of its contents and with a flourish set down to use the pen. Realising she had nothing to write in she rooted through her desktop frantically trying to find a notepad. Sighing in despair and desperation she thought long and hard where she could find one at this time. A glimmer of hope arose with the sudden realisation that's she could simply get one from her farther's study. Jody crept out across the hall, as quietly she could as so not to disturb anyone. Luckily she managed to get a notepad and was now sat at her desk. Jody pondered over what to write and settled on a simple but meaningful 'This pen is sooo cool!' With this pen she felt powerful, the pen was so exotic and unique that it seemed so surreal.
