The world seemed to be shifting around me, nothing seemed familiar to me anymore. I was friends with my ex-boyfriend, slightly flirting with one of pawns, playing lacrosse as well as being a manager and it seemed as if Alice wasn't planning on doing track.

"I don't feel like it this year. I don't know why, I just don't. " Alice said slipping her hair into a bun. She had been in this funk lately where she hadn't felt the need to do anything, but she wouldn't talk to me about it.

Alex on the other hand seemed more determined to do things more aggressively. He hit harder in lacrosse, played better in gym and over all just seemed more aggressive. To avoid getting punched in the neck, I didn't call him Bubbles when he was like this.

I continued to walk with Alice. "Little Red." I felt an arm fall across my shoulders and steer me away from Alice. I looked back and her and mouthed an apology and she rolled her eyes. "Got plans for Wednesday?"

"Ah yes, the steal me away from my best friend and ask if I would want to hang out, a true classic. " Steven laughed and save me a warm smile. I waited to see if he was going to talk. "Not talking until I answer huh?" No response. "I do not believe I have plans. "

His smile grew as we continued to walk. "Well, I think you're wrong because I'm pretty sure you have plans with me Wednesday at Walker's party."

"You're so cocky. Jason wouldn't invite me to any party of his so I don't believe I can come. " He smirked.

"You realize you're playing with the big kids now right? Its no football team party but it will be just as eventful. " I looked at him confused. "You're on of us. You don't need to be a massive dud. You go to parties, fuck around and spend time with your favorite idiot, me."

"Still being cocky Steve-"

"I know I'm being cocky, it's all part of an act. But, I have to act the part to be the part. " He said with a smile. "Walker's home, eight thirty, Wednesday. Sneak out if you must." He slipped a piece of paper into my hand, winked and walked away.

I meet back up with Alice at study hall and told her all of happened. "So you're ditching me on Paranormal night?" She spoke and my heart slightly sunk. Oh shit. I forget about Paranormal night. "You're not gunna be there to see if De and Sarah get out of Heaven. " She paused for a second and then quickly spoke. "And if they have to kill Cassandra."

"I'm sorry Alice." I spoke but I was mostly cut off.

"It's fine. It's fine. Go have fun with all of the boys. Ill just watch it with out you. "

"Are you sure?" She nodded and I let out a small sigh. I got up and began to walk out. "Mrs. Dawe I'm using my weekly hall pass." I quickly made my way through the empty halls.

My phone quietly went off and I looked down at my phone. Hey, you free to help me with the geometry work? No clue on how to do this shit.. -Jack How does he still have my number?

I responded with out thinking. Um, yea sure when and where.? I have study hall now if that works? Good job, now we have to spend time with him.

Dawes room?- Jack

Yea :) see you soon. I quickly made my way back to the room, knowing that Jack was only two rooms away from Mrs. Dawes room. As I turned the hall to get into the room and saw him leaning against Mrs. Dawes door.

"Ellena, Ellena, Ellena." Jack said with a slight laughter. "Good thing your a decent runner or you might of had absolutely no chance for me to find out that you were ditching class." I rolled my eyes.

"You're the asking for my help, don't give me sass. " I said walking into the room.

"Whatever Ellena. I just need help on one page." He sat on my desk as he spoke.

"Maybe the reason you need you help is because you're doing the wrong packet." He looked at me in the eyes and slightly smiled. "But you knew that didn't you asswipe?" He slightly laughed and I could feel a slight glare coming from Alice's direction.

"Look, maybe I just wanted to not sit in a room of the biggest dick teacher and you might have been the one to answer no questions asked." He said nonchalantly.

"You're lucky were sorta friends, dick." He laughed causing me to smile. "So you understand what you're doing in geometry?" Jack nodded yes. "And you only wanted to talk and get out of Mr. Polarmo's room?" He nodded yes.

"So you're going to Jason Walker's party?" I looked at him confused.

"How did you know." Jack gave me the are you serious Ellena? look and I shrugged my shoulders.

"I'm supplying a good amount of party stuff to the party and I was walking behind you two when you guys were chatting it up about the party and stuff." I looked at the clock on the wall.

"Ice, you should probably leave there's like three minutes until the bell rings and probably like two before Mr. Polarmo notices you left." He nodded and got up.

"See you tomorrow morning Ellena." He quickly left the room and I sat there. Why the fuck did he want to talk to me...
