Gillian had dark brown hair, just like her mother. It was long and curled in deep gorgeous locks that gently rested just past her shoulders, just like her mother.
Her eyes were just like her mother's. Her body was just like her mother's. Her voice was just like her mother's.
However, not her personality.
"Mom, you really should limit yourself." She scolded to Cana as she unscrewed the lid of a bottle of aspirin. "Maybe we could wing you off. We'll start with keeping it to 1 barrel a day."
"Wha...? Gill, hon, mama needs her go go juice.
"Mom, you're an alcoholic, and if you drink this much every day you won't live another decade." Gillian scolded firmly.
"Who exactly is playing the role of mom in this relationship?" Cana mumbled to herself as she rubbed her sore eyes. "Well, you go call grandpa and he can take ya to the guild. Momma's gotta sleep a bit longer today."
"Sleep on your side in case you throw up." Gillian scolded. "And set your alarm before you go to bed to wake you up at noon."
"Okay Gill, love you. Goodnight."
"It's 9 am."
"Good morning."
Gillian was only 13 and a half. The half was important to her because she had to keep her immaturity somewhere. She was raised by her mother alone, and her grandpa a lot. That is, during the times he wasn't being so nomadic.
He was in town to her luck, ready to set off on another job and earn another scar. He'd only come to see her performance, which made Gillian feel rather special, though she was just a dwarf.
He slept in the guest bedroom, sleeping with a face that made him look as though he were happy as a clam.
"Grandpa." She stated plainly, shaking him lightly. "Grandpa wake up."
"Nya..." He mumbled lightly. "No Cornelia, not the broom..."
"Grandpa, it's Gillian. It's time to go." She shook the broad back of her grandfather. Until he rolled over. His eyes slowly opened, and he rubbed them as he rolled up.
"Hey, mornin' squirt." He laughed patting her head. "What's for dinner?"
"It's 9, and I wanted to go to the guildhall."
"Okay..." He tossed his legs over the side of the bed, standing up with heavy effort. "Les go, kiddo."
"Grandpa, but some pants on first!"
Gillian sat at the counter beside her Grandpa who laughed with Natsu with a beer in his hands.
"Grandpa...it's 10, you shouldn't be drinking so early." Gillian scolded.
"She's right Gildarts." Lucy said with a laugh. "Gillian is in a state beyond her years...nothing like Cana."
Gray shook his head. "Actually, she really is like Cana when she was younger, before she reached the drinking age..."
"Yeah, she was always scolding you for stripping..." Natsu laughed.
"By the way Mr. Gray. Your clothes." She said, point at Gray's apparel, as he was only wearing boxers.
"Go to therapy already Gray..." Lucy sighed, rubbing her temples. "You're too old to be stripping madly in the guildhall."
"I hear no complaints..." Gray hummed as he put his glass to his lips.
"We're complaining! Right now!" Lucy shouted.
"That's debatable."
"No it's not!" Lucy huffed.
