Somewhere in the city of Herai a lone hooded man walks alone in an alley silently observing everything around him. He looks up at the sky slowly while trying to keep his face hidden in the darkness of the night.
His gaze darts to the right at the sound of a man running from police cars. The hooded figure purposely trips the fleeing criminal and then knocks him out with extreme speed as he quickly jumps 40 feet into the air and lands on a roof. He smirks as he hears the handcuffs click below onto the wrists of the criminal and the hooded figure jumps across the roofs fast as he travels to his new home.
Halfway home he hears a loud gunshot and hears a young girl screaming for help. The hooded figure's eyes glow blood red as he heads to the scream and finds a dead mother and father on the ground. He looks over and sees a man running off with a small girl in his arms and a gun in his other hand.
The hooded figure hisses as he chases after the man from above while letting his hunger push him to his limits. The fleeing man suddenly runs into a dead end and turns around to see the hooded figure glaring at him with hatred as he slowly walks up to him.
He fires shots at the hooded figure only to see him dodge them easily, the hooded figure hisses and breaks the arm holding the girl off and grabs his shoulders while pinning him to the wall.
The injured man screams for help and suddenly the hooded figure sinks his fangs into him and drains him of all of his blood, after he's done feeding he drops the dead injured man to the ground and turns to leave. He sees the young girl looking at him scared but he smiles kindly and extends a hand out to her.
Venatra: hello there, my name is Venatra. Whats's yours?
She silently looks at him then backs away a little with a terrified expression. She tries to yell for help but can't get her voice to be heard, he then pulls his hood down revealing his pale face but he yet again extends his hand in a friendly way.
Venatra: I mean you no harm, I'll take you home if you wish. Do you want to go to your grandparents house? I know he...took your parents...
Hiriana: n-no t-those were my fake parents...I've never known my real parents. They..gave me away to the orphanage and those two adopted me an I don't miss them at all. I saw what you did and thank you for saving me, but...I don't think I should be talking with a stranger.
Venatra: I understand, so do you wish to go home alone?
Hiriana: w-well...I.. Please mister take me home just, don't do anything to me QoQ
Venatra: I promise I won't ok?
She smiles weakly as she takes his hand while he picks her up in his arms , on the way to her place she falls asleep and when she wakes up she finds herself at her fake grandparents house in their spare room bed. She sits up and wonders if what had happened the other night was a dream.
She gets dressed and has her breakfast while talking to her grandparents about a book she was reading for school. As she finishes she says goodbye and walks to her bus in the morning sunshine while she looks around wondering if what happened was real or just a dream.
She then goes to her classroom and gets a text from someone asking to meet her after school at an abandoned house. Hiriana has a bad feeling when she sees some girls looking at her smiling wickedly.
She glares at the popular girls with anger now wondering why they were laughing and she gripped her phone tightly but she was already curious who texted her. She would find out later in the day after her long boring classes which took forever in her mind.
