We walked into the fancy looking restaurant. I looked down at what I was wearing. I couldn't possibly go into a fancy looking restaurant looking like a complete tramp. "Aaron," I said quietly. He turned around to look at me. "I...I look a..wful, I can't possibly go into this place," I stated looking at the place in awe. I had only dreamed of going into places like these. I didn't think I'd actually walk into an extremely posh looking place. Especially in my current state.
Aaron shook his head, and grabbed my arm. "There's nothing wrong with the way you look," he stated nonchalantly. Was he absolutely crazy? Could he not see the state of me. I sighed. There was nothing that was going to stop him from dragging me into the place. I guess I would live one of my dreams. One more thing off my bucket list.
We walked through the building. The decor was amazing. There were chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, and the whole place had a magical feel to it. Almost like a palace. People turned their heads, and gave me dirty looks, but I was in too much shock to care. They could give me all of the dirty looks that they wanted. I'd been living on the streets for God knows how long. I had been given more dirty looks than I had been given food in my life.
"Aaron," a loud, authoritative voice spoke out. This instantly snapped me out of my daze. I looked up to see a six foot tall man towering over me. Aaron looked a lot like him.
"Dad," Aaron stated looking at his father. I felt like an absolute midget. Everyone was so tall, and I was five foot four whilst these men were over six feet. God, why did I have these genes? I wished I was at least five foot seven. I didn't like my size.I snapped out of my daze again for the second time in the last hour, and looked up. They were both looking at me, as if I had grown another head. Sugar. I hadn't been paying attention once again. This was really not a good first impression for the man to have on me. He'd only just met me, and I had probably not heard some very important information. "I'm sorry, this place is so great, can you please repeat the question," I said shifting from one foot to the other. The man chuckled and placed his hand on my shoulder, causing me to flinch. He instantly removed his hand.
"I was just saying that I want you to stay in our house, as long as you help my wife with chores and things. I've always wanted a daughter," he said quietly. There was a pained look in his eyes, and I knew not to ask anything about it.
"I've always wanted a mum and dad," I answered him. He looked up and smiled at me.After discussing some more arrangements with Aaron's father, we made our way to his house. Aaron had said that it was not far away, and I didn't complain about the walking. I was going to be a part of a family. I would have parents and siblings like normal children do. Of course I would have to tell them about my personalities. They would have to know. I mean I would be living with them and they would need to be prepared for any changes in my behaviour or self.
We finally turned onto a road. A road that was full of expensive houses. I couldn't believe my eyes. They were beautiful. I had only dreamt about living in places like these. Now it was going to become reality. "So tell me a bit about yourself," Aaron asked me. He was a very hospitable person and made me feel really comfortable. I felt like I could tell him everything and I'd only just met the guy. I mean I'd never really had anybody at all to talk to, or someone who would listen to me. However, he was still a male, and I hated males. They made me feel uncomfortable, and almost vulnerable even if there were other people were there. I didn't think that I would ever trust him. I would never trust a man. Never.
We stopped at a house. I looked up. It was magnificent. It looked like a palace. The only home I had known was the place that I stayed before. That was nothing compared to this. Nothing at all. This was amazing. I genuinely couldn't believe that somebody was going to let me stay in their house. I couldn't believe that I was going to have parents, and I couldn't believe that I was going to live like a normal human being. It was a lot to take in on one day, but I couldn't be more than happy.
"This is it," Aaron said walking towards the house, expecting me to follow behind. I had a job and a house.
"It's w...w..onderful," I exclaimed stuttering slightly. It truly was. There was no denying it.
"What, this?" He asked, looking at me weirdly. What was wrong with it? It looked amazing.
"Yes," I said. He shrugged, and turned, continuing to walk towards the house. We got to the door and he knocked. There was silence for a few minutes, then the door opened.Thank you for reading this chapter! I'm sorry for not updating in a while. I've had mock exams, and haven't had any time at all.
