Once in a blue moon a single bright ray of sun will attempt to make a dent in the isolating barricade that we call life. This ray will light a fuse inside us that will give us a second of hope, just to have it ripped away once the ray has faded. Only a few forces have ever succeeded in poking a hole through our barrier.
As an individual who has been altered to achieve others approval, this is a once in a life time predicament. Most will watch this ray in anticipation hoping that it will create a difference in their so called hamper of a life. But the smart people will turn away because they know that the sensation doesn't last, and once the ray has left, you feel worse than before.
The smart ones enjoy what little sensations that are permitted, and experience their own ray; by allowing a smile to stimulate yourself for even a fraction of a second when no one is looking. These rays think that they are helping, which they are, but even a ray eventually dies.
And once again everyone looks forward to the next rare sighting even though they were drained of their hopes and dreams during this episode. You will conclude that you don't need a sight or ray to deprive yourself of depression, you just need the simple things that make all the difference.
