The pitch black night sky was a canvas painted with luminous glitters that guide wandering souls from getting lost. In a distance below, a shabby ancestral house was highlighted by the full blue moon, its circular enigma conquering the hearts of anyone who sees it. The humid air howled, brushing an old man’s pale cheeks, his long black trench coat hugging his shivering body.
“How long is this going to take?” He impatiently murmured to the wind as he pats his sore legs. This man had been standing outside of an exclusive pavilion for hours—waiting for his mission. He tapped his foot for a while and then, decided to walk back and forth along the narrow aisle in complete exasperation at the delay of his assignment.

A stifled shrill moan was heard throughout the pavilion followed by a low healthy cry. The man turned his head towards the direction of the noise. He straightened his back and prepared to carry on his task. Like a panther ready to attack, he silently paced the road towards the work he came in for. A woman opened the sliding door and closed it hastily, still alert and careful to elicit any sound for suspicion.
“Quick, take the baby. You know what to do.” A newborn fully wrapped in expensive silk linen was hurriedly given to the man. The man hid the baby inside his trench coat, nodded to the woman and swiftly vacated the premises.

A vociferous set of rings woke the man from his deep slumber. He groaned at the distraction, half-heartedly searching for his phone beneath the comforter. His drunken tryst last night tired him. He half-opened his eye to see who was calling him at this ungodly hour.
An unknown number.
He stretched and answered the phone.
“Hello?” He yawned.
“How was the mission?” A cold voice entered his ears.
“Ah… I’ve disposed of the trash. You won’t even find the baby’s body, that’s how good I am.” The man happily boasted.
“Very well then. I trust the money is to your satisfaction?”
“Yeah. Thanks for the transaction.”
“You’re welcome. “
And the line ended.
