Seoul, Korea

The bar was full with merry men and women. They danced. They drank. They sinned. And had their fill of fun. It was the life in that part of the city-the red light's town. On one corner of the said bar, an intoxicated man stood up. In his hand was a small box. He went out, his legs swaying-his mind dazed from the alcohol and the damned ladies' charms. A walk to the nearby river, he went-a glimpse to any witness or just any men. He saw, there were none. And with one swift throw, the deed was done. The box fell unto the waters. And the man was gone.

An old woman was walking on a dull evening time-her feeling's all too down. She looked at the heavens and asked for a sign. Will there be ever to give her happiness-perhaps a son? No family. No money. No one to give her warmth. But then, on that darkened river waves, she saw a floating box. A baby tucked inside. Her face distorted, she fished the child. A newborn, pinkish in his color, she smiled.

Ah, too calm, too calm. One who is tamed. What should you be named?

Taeyeon, Taeyeon. A son, a grandchild, an angel, a gift God gave.
