Makayla's POV
The school bell was seconds away from ringing. Yes! Spring break was finally here. I originally planned on spending my days by the pool, sipping lemonade, and listening to music.. But recent news from my parents completely shattered that idea. We'd be flying out of Florida tomorrow morning to visit my aunt in California. My older sister, Stephanie, was overjoyed by this last minute news. She had this crazy idea that she'd be able to drive around California trying to find Cameron Boyce- her celebrity crush. I, for one, could care less about him, or California. I'm just going for my aunt.
As the school bell rang, I sprinted out of my classroom and met my sister by our school's main entrance, so that we could walk home together.
"I can't believe that at this time tomorrow, we'll be driving around Hollywood, looking for Cameron Boyce!" my sister said, as her eyes grew wide with excitement. She was 16, and had no interest in boys unless they were Cameron. "What do you mean WE?" I replied. "I have no interest whatsoever in finding him. He's just another one of those obnoxious celebrities who use their fame to get whatever they want" Stephanie's face started to get red. "Fine." She said. "I'll find him myself"
Cameron's POV
It's about time Spring Break rolled around! Being homeschooled sucks! I can't interact with anybody, besides my coworkers! But now that we're on break, I can finally find some cool girls to hangout with! Maybe I'll even try to impress them by surfing. I mean, i have a board.. and it seems like a pretty simple thing to do. All you really need to have is balance, so you can stand on the board. I'll be fine!
Makayla's POV - NEXT MORNING
The plane was 10 minutes away from taking off. While all of my friends were tanning by their pools, I'd be in Cali with my aunt. But whatever... Family is family , right? "Please turn off all electronic devices at this time" said a flight attendant through the intercom. I looked over at my sister who sat right next to me, and already had her earbuds in, watching Grown Ups 2. She had recently purchased the movie on her ipad, specifically so that she could watch it on the flight to California. I said to her, "you couldn't even wait until we were up in the air to start watching that?" She shot me a dirty look and turned off the device.
This was going to be the longest 5 hours of my life.
