Chapter 5 - My Hero

Cameron’s POV

I can’t believe I lost her. We were barely even here for 10 minutes and she’s already gone. I pushed through the multiple crowds of paparazzi, as they took hundreds of pictures me. It was pretty dark out now, and the camera flashes made it hard to see where I was going.

 When I finally caught eye of Makayla, I noticed that some other guy had a tight grip on her wrist, as she struggled to run away. I ran up to them as quickly as I could and grabbed Makayla. Why was this guy trying to take her? I took a better look at the guy, and noticed what he was wearing. On his head, he had on a black ski mask, along with black shirt, jacket, and pants. He had to be a criminal. I had nothing on my that I could use as a weapon, so I quickly took hold of him and punched him right in the stomach. I’d only met Makayla today, but there was no way in heck that I would let some guy take her. Right after I punched him, his grip on Makayla’s wrist loosened up a bit, and I was able to pry his hand off of her. When she was finally free, she gave the guy 3 strong kicks where the sun doesn’t shine, and then looked straight at me for approval. WOW, I thought to myself. This girl had skill.

Throughout the whole fight, the paparazzi had been taking pictures and videos. Luckily, one of them had been smart enough and called the cops. They arrived within 5 minutes, and took the kidnapper away. I felt a strong rush of accomplishment as Makayla leaped into my arms and whispered "you saved me." I looked into her brown eyes , just as I had earlier that same day, and smiled big. She then gave me another long hug, and she whispered "Cameron, you're my hero. Thank you."

Makayla's POV

"You're my hero. Thank you" I whispered into Cameron's ear. I can't believe he just saved me. He wasn't a jerk, or obnoxious at all. He was the most caring and down to earth guy that I had ever met. I mean, I just met him today at the beach, and he just saved my life! I had to find a way to repay him.

 I was just pulling back out of the hug, when he stopped me and said "no..stay here" as he wrapped his muscular arms around me, and squeezed even harder.

This chapter was kind of short, sorryyyy! I'm just trying to get some filler information in, before I get to the next big event in the story. I might start working on Chapter 6 now, so it should be up soon!
