I got up from his bed and gave Zayn a quick hug and a brief smile.
"Well I'm feeling a bit better so I guess I better get going..." I say.
Zayn makes a pouty face a says, "Why? We can hang out today!"
His energy was at the level of a 5 year old.
I laugh and tell him, "I have a job that I'm already late for, Zayn. Plus, you see enough of me, I'm surprised you aren't sick of me yet. What has it been, 9 years?"
Zayn gives me his cheeky smile and sighs. "Unfortunately yes, it's been 9 years."
I playfully smack him and giggle. A moment of silence passes and Zayn says breaking the silence, "Do you want a ride? I'm assuming you don't want to walk in the rain to work..."
I smirk saying, "Yes a ride would be nice... It's the least you could do, considering you held me captive here over night."
I purse my lips waiting for his witty response and he simply looks me at me saying nothing.
Out of no where a strong force hits the back of my head and I fall off the bed with a loud thump. I sit up startled and see the object that I was hit with.
My eyes dart to Zayn and see him doubled over in laughter.
"You should have seen the look on your face..." He says still laughing like a idiot.
I grab the pillow that was next to me and take a full swing at his gut.
Realizing what I'm doing he dodges my swing. I decide to not play nice and then I try to get him where it'll hurt.
His hair.
Zayn shrieks like a girl as he realizes where I'm trying to hit him.
"Macey no!"
I stop and put my hand on my hip still holding my weapon. I cock my head to the side and say, "Fine, you've learned your lesson. Fear is great revenge."
I throw the pillow aside as Zayn says, "God, you are terrifying."
"Good" I say as I walk to the bathroom and close the door behind me.
I turn on the shower and can hear Zayn grumbling from the other side of the door.
~
2 hours later I'm in my Hollister jeans, a red t-shirt and black vans. I have my amber hair down and straight, and a bit of mascara on. I guess my favorite part about my self is my hair and eyes. My hair falls just below my shoulders and my eyes were a soft shade of brown. I didn't need much mascara because my eye lashes were massively long. I was thankful for that, I hated tons makeup.
Zayn likes to childishly remind me a lot that I have "poopy brown eyes" and then he shuts up when I remind him he does too.
~
The car ride was silent but It wasn't a awkward silent, it was just nice. Neither of us had anything to say so nothing was said.
Zayn stops in front of the Comic book shop and says, "Good luck today, have fun!"
"Thanks dad" I reply sarcastically as I step out of the car shut the door.
Zayn rolls down the window as he chuckles, "Oh! And don't forget, you said you'd come with me to dinner tonight. Two of my friends just moved here and we made plans.."
Zayn laughs at my discomfort. "You know it's not a date, Macey... You're my best friend... And it's staying that way."
I roll my eyes and say, "Yeah I know that stupid. I just don't like new people. Or people at all."
Zayn belts out a laugh an raises a eye brow. "Yes. I know that. And you don't have a choice."
I open my mouth to protest but he cuts me off, "Macey. I really think you'll like my friend tonight. He's sweet, trust me. Plus, like I said before, you don't have a choice, you're coming."
Zayn drives away with out letting me respond.
I grumble to myself as I enter the shop. Here we go, another day of Zayn trying to have me make a friend. And best of all Zayn said it was a "guy".
Great.
